As a hairstylist, my job isn’t always about making someone pretty. I’ve hugged girls after a breakup. I’ve prayed for women who just got divorced or in an abusive relationship. I’ve given encouraging words to the girl getting ready to start college or a new job. I’ve been the first to realize someone is pregnant by the texture of their hair. I’ve caught thyroid problems on the lady with a thinning scalp. And today I cut several inches of hair off a dear friend that’s getting ready to undergo chemo treatment. Being a hairstylist isn’t easy. See, when women (or men) come into the salon they’re not coming in just for a “new do”. The majority of the time I have to give them so much more than a fresh haircut or color. And it is hard to find the words to say to help comfort, encourage & let them know everything is going to be okay. I’ve said this before and I still believe I’m not in this business to just do hair. I believe God has placed me here to be a light to those who may be hurting, sick, stressed or any other situation in their lives. Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to say to someone, especially if you’ve never been through what they’re going through. But I pray God keeps sending them so I can keep lighting the sparks and show there’s good to come in this world. The enemy loves to drag us down where he knows it hurts. It’s heartbreaking to see what some people have to endure in this life. But keep sending them Lord! Even if you don’t hear me, it doesn’t mean I’m not praying for you. ❤️

Hi everyone I know I don't post on here often but I just wanted everyone to know that we are collecting clothing donations to take to the homeless we we go down and feed Christmas dinner to those in need. We do this with an amazing group The Union Gospel Mission. We go down several times a year and we are collecting any warm clothing but we are especially in need of HATS GLOVES SCARVES AND BLANKETS. If anyone has any thing they'd like to donate please bring by the shop or give us a call and we can arrange pick up. Thanks!
