I’ve had a few questions on why I’m scheduling 30 minutes between clients now and didn’t before. No... it doesn’t take that long to sanitize/disinfect!! Before this pandemic...it took 2 minutes!! Like most cleaning supplies... everything is on back order until June!! So the wipes that take 2 minutes are no longer available and the ones I do have are reserved for scheduling conflicts where I don’t have 10 minutes in between clients for the spray to work. So I really only need 10-15 minutes. However some of this time has nothing to do with disinfecting... it also gives me time to take care of myself as well and be able to take my mask off outside for a few minutes in between clients. During this time, I’m responding to calls/texts, sending out safety forms and updating clients on the new guidelines. So... 30 minutes in between clients is just what works for me and my sanity!

Wow!!! It’s been an intense first week back at work. Arrived 30 minutes prior to each shift to disinfect doorknobs, open windows, disinfectant my station even though it was done prior to leaving the day before plus the usual opening duties. Took my temperature and recorded and filled out my own Covid-19 safety form. Each of my clients are required to fill out the same form before entering the salon as well. I take their temp, hands are sanitized. Another list of questions are verbally asked by the salon and then they get to go to my chair. I spaced out each appointment by 30 minutes I thought it was probably too much time but I really utilized most of it and didn’t really have much down time. I have even kicked out a few people that weren’t wearing mask!! 😂😂 I’m over the top a little but my client’s safety means everything to me!!! ❤️ Overall it went amazingly better than I ever expected!!! Cheers to week two!!!!
