Floral designing has become such a happy, joyful hobby of mine, and getting to pour that energy into these was pure magic. 🌸✨
We recently hosted a Mother’s Day nomination contest at our Chesapeake salon, , and reading through everyone's individual stories was just beautiful. It reminded me how much incredible heart there is right here in our local community. Showing love with
I’ve always loved flowers, and lately, I’ve been having the best time dabbling in floral arrangements. There is so much joy in heading to the local wholesaler, picking out fresh stems, and creating something beautiful from scratch on my kitchen counter.
These custom creations went out to our 6 wonderful recipients. Bringing a little extra happiness to 6 amazing mothers through a hobby I love was the absolute best part of my week! 🌿🤍
Annnd did I mention that each winner won an awesome retail gift bag ranging in value of $60-250!
Flowers. Gift bags. Gift cards. Great hair! Lots of ❤️.
Let's keep the love going: Tag a phenomenal mom in the comments who deserves to be celebrated today, or just drop a ❤️ to show these winners some love! 👇
Rising with the sun in Puerto Morelos 🌅✨ Last week at The Fives Oceanfront, I watched the sky catch fire and dedicated my morning to movement, breath, and pure gratitude. There is nothing quite like a morning yoga practice on a beautiful oceanfront patio to ground your soul and remind you of what matters.
Every day we get a choice in how we show up. My intention? To be blessed, be the light, and truly live laugh love through every season of growth. 🗺️🧘🏽♀️
Reflecting on where I’ve been and where I am now—and honestly, listening to Miley Cyrus’s Younger Now on repeat because it hits so close to home. Cheers to honoring our past versions while stepping fully into our present power. ✨🌊

Teamwork: It’s All About Trust 🤝
Today’s team-building session took us on a little journey—literally! We put our communication to the ultimate test with a "Trust Walk." There’s something incredibly powerful about being blindfolded and having to rely entirely on the voice and steady hand of your teammate to navigate. It’s a total shift in perspective:
For the "Guide": You realize the weight of responsibility in keeping someone safe and being their eyes.
For the "Walker": You have to silence the noise and truly listen, letting go of control and trusting the person beside you.
It wasn't just about navigating the room; it was about strengthening the "invisible tethers" that keep our team connected. When we communicate clearly and have each other’s backs, there’s no obstacle we can’t handle.
So proud of this crew for leaning in, laughing through the wobbles, and showing up for one another today.
Mommmmm don't touch me, my ball, my teeth, my nose, my....

The "shortcut" era is over. ⚓️✨
Social media tells you to skip the grind and just "charge more." But a career built on hype is a house of cards.
After three decades in this industry, I’m doubling down on the basics: Mastery. Presence. Consistency. I’m restructuring my salon to honor these pillars because I want my stylists to have more than a job—I want them to have a legacy.
Which pillar are you leaning into this year? Let’s talk below. 👇
What do 2 stylists do in their spare time?
Plant the seeds of 🫶🏼
Can't wait to see our progress on this year's gardening efforts.
🌙 The Unofficial Bedtime Manager
If you have a Doberman, you know you don’t actually need an alarm clock—you have a 75-pound shadow who knows the schedule better than you do.
Alex has officially decided that the "zen" part of my night needs to start right now. She did the full sprint upstairs, gave me the "why are you still standing?" look, and settled into her best "I'm a polite but firm supervisor" pose.
In this house, we talk a lot about boundaries and self-care, but sometimes the best self-care is just listening to your dog when she tells you it’s time to unplug. The salon talk can wait, the chores aren't going anywhere, and the mat will be there tomorrow.
When your body (or your Doberman) says it’s time to ground yourself and rest, you listen. 🐾
Bedtime Grounding Rituals:
Phone Down: The digital world can wait; your peace can’t.
Deep Breath: A quick 4-7-8 breath to tell your nervous system it’s safe to settle.
Listen to the Pack: If the pets are relaxed, follow their lead.
Sweet dreams, friends. Alex is already halfway to dreamland, and I’m right behind her. 🧘🏻♀️✨
