I am super passionate about what I do and if I ever have a "difficult client" or a negative experience with a customer this is how I analyze it:
I try to analyze my own behaviors and mindset.. Did I smile and greet them ? Was the room temperature ok and did I ask them if they were comfortable ? Did I take time to explain the service and go through the form with them and ask about previous experiences with the service (if first time with me and saw other providers before). Was I rushed or unfocused? Etc etc
And if I noticed signs of pinning or agitation - did I check in? Ask if there was something I could do to make anything better?
After the service did I get feedback or ask if there was something going on that made them distracted or uncomfortable?
I know it’s real easy to have ego and get offended at behaviors we don’t understand but if we didn’t try to understand or go through the process of what we did or didn’t do that could have improved the situation - then we not only lose a client but also never really learned from it.
Is there a chance that some people just find the battle in everything ?
Sure.
Being a professional means not taking things personally.
Being an adult means addressing things instead of avoiding them so that you can learn and grow.
Being a human being is being empathetic and wanting harmony for all.
All too often people read discomfort, lack of trust , pain, anxiety and depression as “attitude” because they forgot the business isn’t just about money …
It’s about people. I love my people ❤️
