SRB Botanica product offerings are deliberately minimalist to ensure personal attention and spiritual energy is packed into every product. Ashe, a Yoruba word, is chanted and expressed in song and through ritual. Ashe is power in purpose and it is potentiality. Ashe and Ase are important spiritual words and concepts at SRB Botanica, they permeate and imbue our products with spirit, meaning and power. About Us
SRB are the initials of Stephanie Rose Bird. Bird is the author of seven published nonfiction books including “Sticks, Stones, Roots and Bones,” and the recently released “365 Days of Hoodoo.” Bird is a life-long educator, author, fine artist and healer. A Botanica is a plant store with spiritual offerings, well-known in the LatinX and African diaspora cultures. SRB Botanica grows out of Bird’s work over several decades, as an herbalist and aromatherapist. It incorporates the pervasive healing energy of her internationally exhibited paintings, along with the energy from the rituals and recipes shared in the pages of her books. SRB is built on the love of family. Olivia Bird a gifted young actress, stunt woman and body double in many important contemporary television shows and movies. She is a vital force in the company. Her Ashe is expressed in every aspect of SRB Botanica. She is an important maker, product developer and, most importantly she is Bird’s daughter. The Bird’s take great pride in their African ancestry. SRB Botanica carefully sources ingredients that hail from Africa and the diaspora, in places like Haiti for example. The Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter, Frankincense and Myrrh in the products come from the Motherland. While the base essential oil for many of the fragrances, Vetiver, comes from Haiti. Being a multicultural family-owned woman-led company, SRB Botanica enjoys many rich relationships. Bird’s dear friend and personal editor, Jannette Giles forages in Appalachia, specifically the Smoky Mountains, and shares her rich culture and hand-picked herbal products with you, through SRB Botanica.
