Sometimes I sit on the bench where clients enter and take off their shoes. I look into my studio and pause. And for a moment I’m not rushing from this to that, and really appreciating what I’ve built and what I get to do every day. It’s easy to forget!

Coming to work isn’t just a job I do, but it helps guide my life and gives me purpose. Especially when I’m feeling ungrounded, doubtful, worried and so on.

Focusing my mind on helping others has been a beneficial way to exist in this world. It’s not always the easiest navigating a “business” alone, but most of the other alternatives aren’t enticing.
