Today I celebrate my baby ☺️ My son Rakim is 7 and on the spectrum.
He’s so smart, brilliant, resilient and full of life. To know him is to love him 😂 personality wise he do too much (ifykyk lol) & loves to keep people laughing.
He eats the same things everyday, he is never without his legos & You might catch him watching the same YouTube video a MILLION times but that’s how he learns new words + phrases (Gasalt Language Processing) & because of this he went from being non-verbal to never shutting up lol
Autistic Kids are not weird, difficult or just acting out. They are different & that’s okay. His diagnosis put a different type of fight in me & I will always push to make sure my son is accepted in every room.
Big S/O to my Village @ Chopin - Rakim is so loved there & I truly appreciate the staff + teachers for everything!
