I’ve had the pleasure of working along side this brilliant human for over a decade🧡 Steven’s ethics behind the chair and as an educator are rare and far between. He has been teaching most of his long career, starting at , mastering the art of retexturizing hair. He loves the chemistry 🧪 of our craft and will tell you about every “why” that’s ever crossed your mind. I’m thankful for his capacity to understand and breakdown information to share, as he has been my number one source of color and chemical knowledge. He began teaching for 12 years ago. Davines began as a research and development company and has created the highest preforming products and color I have ever seen. No doubt that’s what attracted Steven to this company and kept him captivated for so long. He has become an advanced master trainer, and trained on their artistic team for a number of years. He has assisted masters like of and studied at in LA, learning from greats like . He built color programs at a number of salons and taught hairstylists at every level. He has countless certifications in hair extensions and every retexturizing service in existence. He’s trained with .suhr.56 , , and many others. He’s studied razor cutting and has even owned his own salon in Champagne, IL. We have guest artist at Chicago numberous times and collaborated on endless creative pursuits. He has always admired Annie Humphreys. She’s such a pioneer and always held a place for women at the boys table during a revolutionary time in hair and fashion.

Hi, I’m Magen ✨Owner of Salon and Academy

I’ve been in the industry for 15 years. I was the lucky first graduate from Chicago 🎉 After I graduated, I apprenticed at a busy salon where I totally fell in LOVE with the brand and performance of the product. Through Davines I got introduced to incredible educators like . I had never seen someone work with hair as he did. It inspired me to pursue continued education in LA at the . I got to study with incredible teachers like and . I was totally obsessed with the Sassoon systems. I practiced every single day and would even go into work early to watch videos and read collection books. I was so obsessed that I created an entire education program and started training staff and young stylists the Sassoon way. Then along came . A then new davines education company that created. They totally blew my mind with the way they worked and talked about hair. I started following them around from afar until I could afford to fly to London and take their course. Their courses changed my entire career. I continued to practice and study their teachings every👏single👏day. They mentored me by letting me assist their classes when they passed through Chicago and encouraged me to become a Davines educator. Thanks for believing in me! Since then I competed in the Davines World Style Contest in Parma, Italy as the only qualifier in the USA. I opened an independent contracting salon , got certified to issue continuing education hours and built 2 design courses, and now have launched Klicked Academy. I curate creative collaborative photoshoots and videography for fun and to get inspired by other mediums. I have never ending curiosity and can find a muse in literally anyone, anytime.
