Island on Fire by Sophie Schiller https://karensiddall.wordpress.com/2021/05/30/biisland-on-fire-i-b-by-sophie-schiller-book-review-amp-giveaway/
"The story is a fascinating reimagining that is both suspenseful and absorbing.
By the end, I was thoroughly entertained, had learned a lot about Martinique’s history, culture, and geography, and found myself checking out travel options to the interesting island.
I recommend ISLAND ON FIRE to readers of historical fiction, those interested in tales set in the West Indies, and armchair travelers to the French Antilles."

The Last Collection by Jeanne Mackin https://amybooksy.blogspot.com/2021/03/review-last-collection-by-jeanne-mackin.html?spref=tw
"I thought it was an entertaining and fascinating read. It was great learning about fashion greats Elsa Schiaparelli and Coco Chanel. I loved the vivid details that made me feel as though I was transported back in time and living during their time.
I am giving The Last Collection four and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy historical fiction that include historical figures from the past."

my European Literature Network The Principle by http://eurolitnetwork.com/rivetingreviews-emma-cazabonne-reviews-the-principle-by-jerome-ferrari/
"I was impressed by the beauty and depth of this short, dense book on the ultimate human choice. Are the last post-apocalyptic pages written on Dubai (where Ferrari taught philosophy) prophetic, or do we still have time to escape solitude and despair, and opt for beauty?"
#RivetingReviews: Emma Cazabonne reviews THE PRINCIPLE by Jérôme Ferrari | European Literature Network (1901-1976), who won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1932 “for the creation of quantum mechanics”. Indeed, what is ultimately at stake in quantum theories is a question of language and the limitations of language in describing reality. Hence, an ideal topic to bridge science and literature, which Ferr...
