Lash services are performed millimeters away from the eye, which is a mucous membrane.
That means bodily fluids, bacteria, and pathogens can be transmitted if proper barriers are not used.

Wearing gloves is not “extra.”
It’s about infection control, sanitation, and safety.

Bacteria — including sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea — can infect the eye and cause serious eye conditions when proper hygiene is not followed. This is called gonococcal conjunctivitis, and yes, it’s real.
