Mary Kay thought for today!

19 years ago today🌟 Mary Kay Ash, the iconic founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, passed away. It was Thanksgiving day which was her favorite holiday!

After retiring from work life, her idea was to write a book to assist women in their corporate careers. It turned out to be a business plan to set up her own cosmetics company. With an investment of only $5,000, she opened the doors on Friday, Sept. 13, 1963 in Dallas, TX.

57 years later and still going strong, the company spans the globe in over 40 countries! In 2018, Mary Kay was the 6th largest direct selling company in the world with over $3.25 billion in sales!

And we still operate with the priorities of God first, Family second and Career third, as well the Golden Rule philosophy- “do unto others as you’d have done unto you.”
