**BENEFITS OF INFRARED SAUNA ~**
What is the difference between a traditional sauna & an infrared sauna?
Traditional ‘hot rock’ or ‘steam’ saunas need to have the air temperature around 70 - 80 degrees to induce sweat through conventional heat – leaving less oxygen in the air. However, infrared saunas operate at about 46 – 57 degrees in a drier heat, giving a more comfortable and breathable experience. Infrared waves pe*****te deep into your core. This raises your body temperature from the inside, creating a deeper level of detoxification. The sweat response can be more profound than traditional saunas despite having a lower temperature.

As we re-open the studio this week and welcome you back into the sauna, we wanted to reach out to let you know of the new guidelines to be enforced in the studio as of today.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In line with CDC Covid-19 updated restrictions, all clients and staff must wear masks upon entering the studio and within all communal areas. Once you enter your fully sanitized private room, you can of course remove your mask and enjoy your sauna session. Please also be aware to ensure adherence to ‘social distancing guidelines’ in the studio when awaiting your appointment.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Additionally, please be aware that we will no longer be providing use of the showers as part of our sauna services in order to minimize contact between clients and staff alike. Lastly, Please bring your own towel and water bottle to each appointment until further notice.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Finally, as stipulated by CDC Health, The sauna is restricted to one visitor per sauna booking.

Balance
~ It is easy in life to feel and become out of balance, out of sorts, as though you are burning the candle at both ends. You can try and do small things each day which are positive to counteract any negative habits you may have found you have fallen into. If you have been eating poorly or perhaps had a few too many vinos last night, you could incorporate some extra greens into your day, drink plenty of water, or book yourself one of our private infrared saunas to find balance in your body again. If you have been training too hard, are achy and run down, you could instead go for a walk, practice yin yoga, or lie in the sun and soak up some vitamin D. If you have had a week of socialising too much, feel overwhelmed with being around people and are craving ‘you’ time, it is OK to say no; put on your favourite music, light a candle, read your new book, or the book you keep wanting to finish, and have that quiet time you need. We can live in extremes at times, and easily become out of balance, and we don’t need to make huge changes to find that we can come back to neutral and feeling in balance again. Small gestures to yourself can create better balance, and more calm.
