Hello, again!

For several years I’ve been overseeing the free community yoga program as a volunteer with Horner Park Farmers Market. This weekly outdoor class takes place at 10am each Saturday from June - October. Like the market itself, the yoga program has grown and flourished to include a robust group of fantastic volunteer instructors. However, we’re always excited to bring additional instructors into the fold.

Since January I've been sub teaching chair yoga every Wednesday at 11am at McFetridge Sports Center. I had limited experience with chair yoga prior to this, and I've really gained a new appreciation for the practice. It's highly accessible - truly for everyBODY. It's a great core workout. And it brings together a wonderful community of students. Next week is my last time regularly subbing this class, and I'm really going to miss it!

I'm turning up the heat (well, figuratively - no hot yoga) and teaching 4 classes at It's Lit Studio!

It's Lit Studio is expanding with a new second location at Elston & Irving Park, and I'm along for the journey! 

Starting tomorrow, I'll lead students in a balanced all-levels Hatha Vinyasa Flow every Friday at 9am. And staring January 26, you can join me for Vitalizing Vinyasa, an energizing power flow every Monday at 9am. To top it off, all classes at the new Elston studio are FREE in January!

And don't worry - you can still catch me at noon every Tuesday and Thursday for a rejuvenating Hatha Vinyasa Flow class at their original Montrose studio (3726 West Montrose).

I'm leading Level 1-2 yoga at Bloom Yoga Studio 9am Tuesday and Thursday this week and next. I love this studio and am so excited to be teaching this class!

The new year brings new opportunities!

This January and February, I'm teaching yoga on Wednesday mornings at McFetridge Sports Center - 9:30am Vinyasa Yoga and 11:00am Chair Yoga.

As part of Chicago Park District, McFetridge offers a robust class schedule taught by fantastic yoga instructors at some of the lowest rates around.

While teaching crow pose today, the name inexplicably escaped me. It's one of my favorite poses, and although I remembered it was a bird, all I could think of was pigeon. Sharing my memory lapse with my children this evening prompted us to name as many animal poses as possible. Every time we thought we had exhausted the list, we'd think of one more!
