I am on a mission. MBC has been around as long as I have. It is not thinking about retirement. It is acting like it wants to quit, however I've decided this is not the time. My parents brought it a long way from 1965. Dre, Kobie and I have held it down with my mom since '86. Mom has had to step back due to her health. Dre is lovingly moms main caregiver, which means I have to work, it out and get 'er' done.
MBC would not have the rich history it has if it had not been for the wonderful creative spirits that have graced its space. The more I look at your work through this facebook connection, I marvel at how talented you are. Somehow I have to discover a way to make that work for all of us. WE have to find a way.
WE did not come this way by accident. The future of MBC is in its bloodline. The new wave of students is causing me to reconsider the path and purpose of our institution. I need the strength from the core of this institution, its alumni, YOU.
I need those of you to pass on the call that have been in touch. I am going to fill these pages with your work for the world to see how gifted you are.
I am planning to have our first gathering in January. I'm shooting for Dr. Kings birthday. It will be in the storage room next door.
