Legs season is upon us, so I figured a ‘lil shorts inspiration post was due. I’m loving a longer silhouette this season, paired with taller boots or a barely-there shoe. We’ve also got a handful of what I call “vacation shorts” — pull-on, beach-friendly shorts that can be worn with flip flops and a bikini top and suddenly, you’re dressed.

To celebrate the coming of spring and the flowering return of life, The Sunday Standard and announce Primeval Conditions: an exhibition of four artists whose works call to the archaic human connection to love and beauty. Despite popular contemporary narratives, the works in this presentation demonstrate evidence that these early conditions are both elemental and alive as nature herself.

Primeval Conditions features the work of Chicago artists: .textiles and Natalie Fern Smith.

The Factor Pant from Kloke seems to be on its way to becoming an instant favorite — a lightweight and crisp cotton pant in just the right shape, with the comfort of an elasticated waistband but the sophistication and flexibility of a zipper closure and belt loops.

I haven’t been excited about grey in a while but this shade feels so right and feels like a timeless addition to my wardrobe that fills a gap I didn’t know I had.

It’s been on my wish-list to show you how we would style the pieces from each of our collections together for … two years? Time gets so away from you as a small business owner that taking the time to slow down and learn a new process often feels impossible.

Big thanks to for the styling + modeling assist — we had a ton of fun and I’m excited for you all to see the pieces on real people who you know instead of some far-away model. We’re also working on updating the site with style-specific fit guides as well as sizing info based on how we like to wear each piece in our own wardrobes.
