DNW Luxe Hair Studio
Precision cuts, believable extensions, & lived-in color for Chicago's hardest working women. Low-maintenance results that last.
Because you deserve more than an appointment — you deserve to be treated as and leave feeling absolutely worthy.
You love your highlights. But something feels... off. 👀
It's not the tone. The cut is fine. You can't quite put your finger on it — but your hair just feels flat. A little one-note. Like it lost its va va voom somewhere between your last two appointments.
Here's what happened: you lost your depth.
When highlights build up over time without lowlights to balance them, the contrast that makes color look dimensional — that thing that makes light bounce and shine and catch — quietly disappears. What's left is a lot of lightness and not enough shadow. And without shadow, there's no dimension. Without dimension, there's no wow.
A well-placed lowlight isn't going backwards. It's the thing that makes your highlights look brighter. 💛
Here's what I think separates a good colorist from a great one: the great one notices before you do. She looks at your hair and says — hey, I think we need to add a little depth here to really show off what you've got.
She's not afraid to suggest something you didn't ask for. Because she's paying attention.
That's the kind of stylist I am. I will always tell you what I see — honestly, specifically, and with your best hair in mind. Not just what you came in asking for.
Because sometimes what you need and what you think you need are two very different things. And knowing the difference is the job. 💛

It was hair or culinary school after college. And honestly — the hours were better. 😄💛
I've always been a people person. I had a background in theatre, and somewhere between the backstage chaos and the curtain calls I realized — I love creating an experience in a dining room just as much as I love creating a look.
Hair felt like the perfect place to put both talents to use.
I also grew up at a time when professional kitchens weren't exactly welcoming women as leaders. So I chose the chair. And I have never once looked back.
Every appointment feels like hanging out with my girlfriends. Every client is a new story. Every result is a little bit theatre, a dining experience where you're taken on a journey, a little bit science, and a lot of genuine care rooted in service.
That's who I am behind the chair. And it's the foundation everything at my salon experience is built on. 💛

Ladies, keratin requires heat to work. Period.
That silky, smooth, frizz-free finish you love? It doesn’t happen by accident — it’s activated every time you blow dry or flat iron. Skip the heat, and you’re basically paying for results you’ll never see. 😬
So if your dream is wash-and-go hair — zero styling, zero effort, out the door — keratin may not be your answer. And I’d rather tell you that before you invest, not after.
Here’s the good news: “I don’t have time to style my hair” isn’t a dead end. Sometimes the real fix is a cut built for your texture — one that falls right on its own, even in Chicago humidity. That’s a conversation I’d love to have with you. 💛
Not sure which camp you’re in? Ask me. Honest answers are free. ✂️
Experience doesn’t always cost you more… sometimes it actually saves you 💸✨
Here’s the part no one really talks about:
An experienced stylist isn’t just charging for time — they’re charging for precision.
• Fewer appointments to get where you want
• Less trial and error
• Color that evolves beautifully instead of needing constant fixing
• Haircuts that grow out on purpose, not by accident
Great hair doesn’t have to cost $600/7hours of your time when experience can translate to working not harder but smarter.
Your color grow-out has nothing to do with your color. 👀
It has everything to do with whether your stylist actually knows your life.
Your morning routine. Your idea of low maintenance. How often you're realistically coming back in. The formula that works for your hair specifically — not just what looks good in the bowl.
Great color isn't a service. It's a game plan. And a game plan only works when it's built on trust — the kind that comes from a stylist who asks the right questions before they ever open a foil.
That's the difference between color that looks grown out at week 4 and color that still looks intentional at week 12. 💛
Not luck. Not product. Just a stylist who took the time to actually listen.

I think I’ll go with both cuz they kinda fall into the same color themes and vibes. But I gotta know your opinions.

I just said to Sean “We’re doing all of this work, and we’ve taken on all of this risk…and we may have rolled the dice a little too hard.” I was panicking. Because my friends were selling their salons. Because “the economy.” Because I was scared I didn’t choose the right neighborhood. And all I could think of was my grandfather and his disappointment…literally. Next thing I know Alderman Gardiner was on the phone congratulating me for a $130,000 small business grant…… and I just screamed. We were about to do the one thing I swore I wouldn’t do. Risk our home to see this through. Because I want to build the salon space I didn’t get. I want to bring the education I didn’t get. Because I wanted to create the mentorship I didn’t get. And I get to be the leader I didn’t get. Now I get to be all of those things. And maybe it was an angel, my grandfather, that said “you applied 4 times…they can’t keep ignoring you.” Maybe it was hard work. Maybe it was learning I am a terrible employee and always have been because I was meant to lead. Maybe it was just meant to be. Here’s to Worthy Salon ‘26. For you, gg and papa. For my cheerleader who sees me better than I do, Sean. For my aunt who’s always said “it’ll work out.” For my sister in law who worked a beautiful mock up. For Emily, the persistent student that proves I can teach….. for any dreamer that loves to take care of people. And for all of you. Thank you.
Molly's full extension maintenance appointment was $1,125. Here's what that actually included. 💛
✂️ Removal + detangling
🎨 Full highlights + toner
💇♀️ Haircut
🔗 Custom created Ktip bonds
⬆️ Reinstallation + styling
Booked separately? That's $1,375. Bundled into one day at $150/hr — $1,125. She walked out $250 ahead.
But the real story is this: Molly travels heavily. Her lifestyle is hard on extensions. The alternative was coming in every 6 weeks for highlights and a mini move-up — more time, more money, and honestly less natural results.
What she's wearing now carries her 5 months. One mini highlight at 12 weeks and that's it.
Custom bonds aren't a luxury. They're hair built around your actual life. And by Chicago standards — this is modest pricing for that level of craft. 💛
You can't put a price on confidence. But you can be smart about how you invest in it.
