Background.
*Family of 5 came legally seeking asylum in the Shining City on a Hill.
*Came here under Biden
*Work permits issued.
*Case was Denied, told to reapply.
*While waiting to reapply, at a follow up appointment, they sent Dad to Detention Center in Indiana to be deported. Ice gave them a choice to choose between Mom & Dad.
*Put ankle monitor on Mom.

Currently.
*They are scared
*Dad now being sent to Texas facility
*They just want to go home now
*Crooked Gangs here and there…so.

The Crusher.
When Estrella messaged me that her Dad had been taken, she said she didn’t even want to THINK in English anymore. They were previously assimilating.

The Ask. -
I am raising money to help them reset back home in a safe area.

Herbie. You drove us crazy and were often out of bounds, but we loved you and you were part of the heart of this community. Thanks for always patrolling our street, double fi***ng Monster Energy Drinks, talking too much, all the laundry quarters, all the help you offered to us, and making us “mostly” smile. Thank you for being our Guardian Angel. Please continue. Rest in Peace, Herb. We love you.
