One year ago today

I decided to give up drinking. Why? Because I like torturing myself…just kidding! Because it was time to take a break from one of my favorite things. Whiskey. Drinking wasn’t fun anymore, I was making bad choices and my anxiety had skyrocketed. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey! I never realized how much I depended on alcohol for social interactions, suppressing feelings and how I thought I was ‘dealing’ with anxiety.

A year later without whiskey or alcohol has given me a whole new prospective on life. I’ve realized who my true friends are. Made some amazing new friends and created a circle of unconditional love and support around me!! I’m beyond grateful for them! Y’all know who You are!) I couldn’t be happier. I try not to live in my past mistakes or think I have Jedi mind trick capabilities(I can’t control life with my stinkin’ thinkin’) I count my blessing everyday. I remember where I started and how far I’ve come. Life is good, The best is yet to come!!
