One of my favorite services as a colorist is a transformation. But a lot more goes into it than you may think ⬇️

Based on where you start and your inspo photo, we almost always need to add a lowlight, we may need to darken the root or even do a filler color before we start the process stated above.

Couple that with formulating correctly for each, the time it takes for each separate service and maybe even blow drying between each service. Afterwards, you maybe need to schedule an additional gloss service in 4-6 weeks for a color refresh.

Transformations are just that- transformations. We are literally creating an entirely different look that has dimension, depth and longevity in your hair. It takes time and money.

What’s the difference between traditional foils and lived in color?

You’ll notice how this client’s base is darker and she also has pockets of depth throughout her hair. This gives the over color a more grown out or lived in effect, making it a low maintenance service. Lived in color should be touched up 10-12 weeks ✨

Masks are now optional for all clients. I will continue to wear my mask for a bit longer, but you’re free to choose what you’re most comfortable with.
