Jadeite Jade or Fei cui (翡翠)?

There are two types of jade: nephrite jade and jadeite jade and that this last one was essentially composed by the mineral jadeite.

In China, this gem material was known as Fei cui (翡翠), a centuries-old Chinese trade name that today is used to designate the granular to fibrous polycrystalline aggregate, composed solely or principally of the minerals jadeite, omphacite and kosmochlor (all pyroxenes), or any combination of the three.

A working group within the Gemstone Commission of the World Jewellery Confederation - CIBJO will soon present in the centenary congress of CIBJO the results of its numerous meetings as a much awaited guide: “Jade, A taxonomy for Fei Cui (翡翠), Jade, Jadeite, Jadeitite Nephrite, and Yu (玉).”

Ngọc bích Jadeite hay Fei cui (翡翠)?

Ở Trung Quốc, loại đá quý này được gọi là Fei cui (翡翠), một tên thương mại lâu đời của Trung Quốc, ngày nay được sử dụng để chỉ loại vật liệu đa tinh thể dạng hạt đến dạng sợi, được cấu tạo hoàn toàn hoặc chủ yếu từ các khoáng chất jadeite, omphacite và kosmochlor (tất cả đều là pyroxene), hoặc bất kỳ sự kết hợp nào của ba loại này.
