Upcoming Surgery
In August I started having knee pain. I have been doing all of the things I can to get better, with no real luck. I recently had an MRI and found out that I have two areas on my meniscus that will not get better without surgery. I scheduled this surgery for April 14th. Unfortunately at this time the Doctor is unsure what exactly I will need to have done. Meaning I will not know what my recovery will look like until after surgery. It’s sounding like it could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks.
I am really struggling how to navigate my schedule. This obviously creates a need for me to have to take off from behind the chair and take care of myself. As you know I have been very booked and have a full schedule up until June. I am so thankful for all of my clients keeping me busy, and ask that you all can have some patience with me during this time. If you have an appointment after April 14th and into May, please be aware I may need to cancel an appointment with no options for you to get back in. If you’re happy with your hair and can wait please cancel your appointment and rebook at a later date!
Everyone at Wild Honey Salon does really amazing work and although they are all very busy as well I would recommend seeing if you can get an appointment with any of them for your hair needs.

Just a heads up! I am getting A LOT of texts about when my next available appointment is. PLEASE TRY to think/book ahead! I currently am booked out until August and also have a cancellation list going. I suggest getting your appointment on the books, then also adding yourself to the waitlist! WILD HONEY SALON Wild Honey is a modern hair salon located in Norwood, Ohio. We are dedicated to bringing high quality cuts, colors, and styles to the Cincinnati area.

Governor Mike Dewine gave us the opening date of
Monday, May 15. I am so grateful!! (and to be honest, a little overwhelmed.)
I have been unable to work for exactly 58 days, and each day I haven’t been able to work, appointments have had to be canceled or rescheduled (maybe a few times 😉.) I have clients who haven’t done anything to their hair since we closed (March 18th) and have waited until our doors can be opened. (Thank you, I appreciate you). I’m trying to get you in. If you think I have missed rescheduling your appointment please speak up!

Here’s where the overwhelming part comes in... I have clients who are booked these upcoming dates that are just now due and haven’t had to wait any longer than normal. If you are one of these people, and are happy to wait another week or two- please reach out to me and I’ll be sure to reschedule you in a timely manner (also thank you, I appreciate you for being kind and considerate of others).
If you have scheduled an appointment and it hasn’t been accepted please be patient I am still trying to sort through all of this. If I have to decline your appointment please know, I’m very sorry, but I am just trying to do what’s fair. If you feel inclined to contact me, please do, I may not respond right away or I may not have any answers yet. But I will get back to you as soon as I have time.

I appreciate your patience and understanding as I’m trying to navigate all of this. I’m very happy to get back to work but honestly I didn’t expect the date to be so soon! So please give me time!

We came up with this idea and have implemented it throughout the salon! You just take a clothes rack and put a piece of plexiglass on it and zip tie it up. It’s on wheels so the stylists are able to move it around. We also have put these in between the shampoo bowls.

-We have ensured that the stations are 6 feet away from each other.

-We will no longer have a waiting area or self serve beverages. We do have a parking lot next to the salon that is free! This is where clients will wait until their stylist calls them to come in for their scheduled appointment.

-All of us here at Wild Honey are getting certified in additional sanitation practices as well.

-There will be more changes to our day to day operation. But we will need to hear more from our state/local government and state board of cosmetology before we are able to say exactly what these changes will be.

-We want to keep everyone informed and updated. A lot of it is just waiting to know more. So thank you for all your patience and understanding during these weird times. We, as stylists, want to feel safe just as much as you.
