Dear Clients, Friends, and Supporters,
After much thought and with very heavy hearts, we want to share that LuAnn’s Boutique and Day Spa will officially be closing its doors on May 31st, 2026.
Ironically, this month also marks 10 years in business — a milestone We had hoped to celebrate very differently. Over the past decade, so many of you have become more than clients to us. You have been loyal supporters, familiar faces, encouraging voices, and part of the heart of this business. We cannot fully express how grateful we are for every appointment booked, every product purchased, every referral shared, every conversation had, and every ounce of support shown throughout these years.
What began 10 years ago as Ann Smith, LMT, grew into something so much bigger than imagined. Six years ago, Lu joined the business, helping shape it into LuAnn’s Boutique and Day Spa through her love of boutique products, gifts, and the welcoming atmosphere so many of you came to know and love.
This decision was not made lightly, and the timing feels very sudden because, truthfully, it has been. Due to unexpected financial changes, the ongoing challenges of the current economy, and the need to place some focus on personal health and well-being, we have had to make the difficult decision to close.
We also want to reassure everyone that all appointments currently booked before May 31st will absolutely still be honored. In fact, appointments are still open and available to book through our final day, and we warmly welcome anyone who would still like to come in and see us before this chapter comes to an end.
While this ending is sooner than ever imagined, we want you all to know how deeply meaningful this journey has been. It has truly been an honor to care for and connect with so many wonderful people over the last 10 years.
Thank you for supporting this small business, for trusting us, and for helping LuAnn’s Boutique and Day Spa become what it was for the past decade. We will carry that gratitude with us always.
With love and appreciation,
Ann Smith, LMT & Lu

Hey guys!
💟I have the pleasure of working with clients from all walks of life. One of my regulars happens to be a burn survivor, and they were kind enough to let me post photos of the work we did today.
[[I wish I had remembered to take before pics. Oops. 🤦♀️]]
🗣Disclaimer: There is ZERO tolerance for negative talk, and I will not speak on my clients' personal health/care. However, I'm happy to answer generalized questions about scar tissue and massage therapy. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.😉💜
🩹Okay, let's talk about scar tissue❕️
❔️How do we get scar tissue❔️
🤍When there is damage to the skin and soft tissue, our bodies work quickly to close the wound and minimize the damage. Collagen, which is a strong, tensile fiber that our bodies produce, is applied to the damaged tissue in an effort to aid and speed up the healing process. Unlike the original tissue, these collagen fibers are laid down in a randomized pattern. This is to ensure the wound is closed up quicker and the tissue will now be stronger in that area. Clever, right?! However, this rapid healing process is what causes scars to feel and looks different than the original tissue.
🤍This process is obviously helpful when it comes to healing and can be the tool to help someone survive intense physical traumas. It can also cause varying levels of discomfort and pain and/or reduce a person's range of motion and mobility.
❔️How can cupping help❔️
🤍Cupping can be a great tool to use on scar tissue to improve appearance and, more importantly, mobility. It increases blood flow to the area of the scar itself, allowing the tissue to soften, which reduces tension and restriction. This will provide more freedom of movement and increased range of motion for the client.
❔️What kind of scars can benefit from cupping❔️
🤍No matter how the scar was created, whether it was from damage to the tissue or through surgery. If you have been dealing with discomfort and/or limitations cause by scarring, cupping might be the right tool to help you!

Hey guys! 👋
Just wanted to leave a big thank you to all of the amazing people who've made this journey SO special so far. 💜💜
✨️I'd met my now husband, Steve, while I was still finishing college to become an LMT. Him and his 4yo daughter, Melaina, were understandably a package deal.🥰 So, after graduating, I put my plans on the back burner and dived head first into mom life. We got married and grew our beautiful family when our son Lawton came into the world. Eventually, I began working, extremely part-time, for a popular company that provides at home massage services. At that time, with a newborn and a 9yo, it made sense. But my dream to own my own business and work for myself was always sitting in the back of my mind. Then, when my youngest was ready to go to school, I felt it was the perfect time to dive into the business world. I had a business plan, enough money for a deposit, and my first month's rent, the bare necassities and supplies I needed to massage clients. That was it.
✨️But thankfully, it didn't take long. I was lucky to find a place where I could share a space and supplies with another business owner, which helped a lot. However, I only had 3 days a week that I could use the space. Within 6 months, my new clients helped me outgrow that space, and by the end of the first year, I was able to move to a larger location to accommodate my growing client numbers and provide more openings. And the ball just kept rolling until we landed here at our newest, biggest, brightest, and, quite frankly, my dream office.
✨️I wouldn't be here if I didn't have the help and support of so many people along the way. My amazing family and friends for all the support they've given to myself and my family in so many ways. The other business owners who provide copious amounts of mentoring along the way and collaboration opportunities.
✨️ To my wonderful, loyal clients, of course, I owe the biggest thanks. Some of you have been with me literally since the beginning, thru all the moves and the name changes. 🤣
✨️Without you, there literally wouldn't be LuAnn's Boutique, and I'm thankful beyond words.

My family has had a bit of a rough time this past 2 months as we've lost 2 family members.
One of whom was my Aunty Em, she was such a huge support to me when I was in massage school and as I started up my business, she was one of my first clients and always cheering me on.
I'd often bounce my business ideas off of her and we would always end up hanging out and chatting for hours after her massage appointments. 💜🖤
She was our family's lil chef so i got a cute lil chef tattoo. 🥰 Thank you so much .by.emma you're the only one I would've trusted to do this, absolutely love him. 😘
