I have been keeping a pretty big secret…..

I have been accepted to be a Redken Artist!!

This is been something I’ve been working on quietly behind the scenes in order to achieve since LAST FALL, and today I completed the first phase of my training!

Education is such an important thing to me, before I wanted to be a hairstylist, I actually wanted to be a teacher. So this opportunity to combine my passions is the goal of a lifetime.

I am so thrilled to be on this journey, and cannot wait to see where it takes me! Thank you all who have been supporting me and cheering me on, I couldn’t have done it without all of you!

I hear this literally all the time behind the chair: “My hair is just so dry and frizzy! What do I do?” After talking through everything they’re doing to their hair, this comes up almost EVERY TIME:

I know it’s hard to get in the habit of remembering to use a heat protectant. Especially when you’re having a crazy busy morning. But using a heat protectant when styling is one of the most vital steps to include in your hair routine to keep your hair healthy.

I know what you might be wondering, “What does heat protectant even do?” First off, it creates a protective barrier between your hair and the heat you’re applying to it while styling your hair.

There are also some other awesome benefits from using heat protectants like fighting frizz and decreasing your styling time. Who wouldn’t love that?!

You’ve just made a huge investment in your hair after your time at the salon. I want to help you protect your investment with the best tools, products, and tips to use between visits!

-Wash your hair with cool water to keep your cuticle sealed to lock in color and shine!
-ALWAYS use heat protectant when styling your hair (my favorite is Iron Shape
-Use sulfate free shampoo for a clean scalp that won’t strip your color
-Make sure your shower head has a hard water filter on it to prevent buildup that dulls down your color and ruins your hair and skin
