💈Today we lay to rest another Stefanec’s BarberShop founding father. Joe was known for his excitable and magnetic energy. The Barber Chair was his Podium. People were drawn to Joe not only for his ability but to be front row for his oftentimes outrageous tales of life. Joe WAS barbershop culture. When Joe’s children became barbers, he opened with his family the then 2nd successful Stefanec’s BarberShop location, just blocks away on E. 25th and St. Clair. Joe retired decades ago to Hungary but never retired his colorful personality. He lived everyday full of energy and life, taken well care of by his devoted wife until his last moments. Though Joe will be forever missed by many, the stories he left behind will never die, they are legendary. Just like Joe. 💈

The barber shop has a long standing tradition of providing a place for Men to celebrate, commiserate, or ask for advice. We are happy and proud you choose to share your highs and lows of life with us. We should never replace professional therapists but our shoulders will ALWAYS remain available for a little extra support when needed💈❤️
