Venus In Aquarius Apothica

- When I had the vision for Venus In Aquarius Apothica back in December 2013 - I was in my Jupiter return, Jupiter was transiting cancer at the time. Ironically I was also having my Venus return in Aquarius during this time too - hence the namesake. 2013 was also a snake year. It felt so aligned and sacred - very few times in my life I have felt that way.

- Two years later after formulating and planning - I launched in December 2015 with a line of astrological aromatherapy rollers. Shortly after I began diving into my herbal studies - it was then I really began tuning into the stories and messages from the natural world and allowing something much greater than myself to guide the way to what Venus in Aquarius wanted to become.

- Now we are in 2025 - Jupiter is cycling through cancer again, and we are in the depths of another snake year. Which is also my Chinese zodiac sign. I am shedding. All of this feels very cathartic and right. On. Time.

- This is NOT a goodbye. Just a re-imagining. Most of our products will still be crafted and we will still be formulating high quality herbal products. But the business name no longer resonates with the direction I am moving in. I am still sitting with a name that aligns, and I’m going to be using this winter season to deeply anchor into what this next evolution would like to manifest into.

- what this means for all of you - effective right now, we will be offering a very steep discount of our remaining inventory with the Venus in Aquarius branding. I will be turning 36 in January, so we will be having a 36% off sale of everything online and all venus in aquarius products at roots of reverence

Hellllllllo fam!

It’s been a minute since I’ve truly shared anything kinda personal. Just checking in to say thank you for everyone who has still stuck around despite me not updating here regularly or really formulating any new products in awhile. Social media and especially Instagram has felt like a performance over the years and honestly I just needed a break from posting and sharing - most of my work is deeply private and personal but I think im at a place to share more again; because most of you value conscious content and I think we’re all craving more realness and connection and less performative energy on these apps anyways. I’ve still been handcrafting and formulating products - talking to plants - stroking my creative fires in all the ways - and running my brick & mortar apothecary; ( which consumes most of my time these days ) and also sitting with the grief and turbulence that living in this world stirs up at the moment - and still making time to foster joy, play, and connection despite it all. What a time to be alive

Since the beginning Venus in Aquarius Apothica has been a cyclical business - and while we approach 10(!!!!!) years of business - I feel more changes for us on the horizon. I don’t know what those are yet, and I don’t need to! But we are going to continue formulating high quality herbal wares and aromatherapy products and that wont change. But just as a child turns 10 and starts to develop their own personal autonomy - so does a business. And im just going to continue to listen

Building and bringing to life has been one of the most heart opening and deeply fulfilling projects I’ve worked on yet - the synchronicities over the last 6 years hinting down this path is a post for another day. I love having a place to house the Venus in Aquarius Apothica line, quality bulk herbs, local wares, and a place to support other herbal businesses I respect. Many I’ve met thru my years of doing markets 🪡

After months and months of behind the scenes work— it’s officially official. I am opening an herb shop! Roots Of Reverence will be your one stop shop for regionally / USA grown /organic bulk herbs, high quality herbal products, Botanical wares, workshops, community events, and so so SO much more.

Plus our entire Venus in Aquarius Apothica line will be available at the shop along with our new studio! We’re going to be offering a huge sale through Venus in Aquarius Apothica to lighten our load as we move the studio, stay tuned for that.

This has been a dream of mine for a very long time, and I couldn’t be more grateful and giddy to be making it a reality thanks to a whole lot of heart centered hard work, ambition, trust, and the love and support from my community near and far all these years. As a Lakewood Native, I feel so grateful to be joining the plethora of incredible small business brick n mortars in this incredible city!

In the meantime I will be hustling like nobody’s business to get the shop open! If all goes as planned we will be aiming before the summer solstice! ☀️🤲🏻🤞🏻but Im also keeping flexible!

My intention for this space is to be more than just retail. but also a third space where folks can gather, connect, and feel inspired and activated. To deepen our relationship with the natural world, with our health, vitality, and wellness, with our bio-regional flora and fauna, with all living and sentient beings, with each other, and ultimately-with our whole divine selves.
I couldn’t think of better timing to trust this vision and bring it into fruition.
