A little countryside scenery! 💚
Windmills turning, wide open fields, and miles of country views. Sometimes the scenery along the way is worth slowing down for.
Are you a country roads or city streets kind of person?
I’m excited to share that I’ve started my own website and blog, Well Sage Collective! 🌿💜
It’s a place where I’ll be sharing my personal journey with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), along with natural living tips, homemade recipes, DIY projects, wellness ideas, and a little bit of everything life brings our way.
The website is still in its early stages, and I have lots of ideas and things I’m working on adding. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I figured why wait until everything is perfect to start sharing?
My hope is to share what I’m learning, connect with others, and maybe inspire a few people along the way.
I’d love for you to stop by, take a look around, and follow along as Well Sage Collective continues to grow!

🍵🌿 A Little Herbal Comfort for Cold & Flu Season!
When cold and flu season rolls around, I like to have a few of my favorite herbs stocked in my natural wellness cabinet.
I've been putting together a homemade herbal tea blend using just three ingredients, and I'm excited to share it with you!
🌿 Marshmallow Root – Traditionally used to help soothe dry, irritated tissues.
🌼 Chamomile – Adds a gentle, floral flavor.
🌱 Peppermint – Gives the tea a light, refreshing finish.
One of the interesting things about marshmallow root is that it releases its naturally soothing mucilage when soaked in water. That's why I've included two ways to prepare this tea, including a cool water infusion!
The recipe is simple, uses tablespoons instead of weighing everything in grams, and you can mix up a jar of the dried herbs to have ready whenever you want a cup.
I've shared the complete recipe, brewing instructions, and links to the herbs on the blog.
👉 Find the full recipe here: https://wellsagecollective.com
Have you ever tried marshmallow root in an herbal tea? I'd love to hear!

🍂 Cold & Flu Season Is Here! Is Your Natural Wellness Cabinet Ready? Mine is. The items below are all things I keep on hand.
As the temperatures start dropping and we spend more time indoors, it’s a good time to think about keeping ourselves and our families healthy.
I’m a big believer in being proactive about our health and having a few natural wellness essentials on hand before those first sniffles, scratchy throats, and coughs arrive.
Here are a few things worth keeping in your wellness cabinet this season!
🍯 Raw Honey
One of my favorite simple remedies! A spoonful of honey or a warm cup of tea with honey and lemon can be soothing for a scratchy throat and may help calm a cough. (Remember, no honey for babies under one year.)
🫚 Fresh Ginger & Lemon
Simmering fresh ginger in water and adding lemon and honey for a comforting homemade tea is nice when you’re feeling under the weather.
💧 Saline Nasal Spray
Sometimes the simplest things are the most helpful! Saline sprays can moisturize dry nasal passages and help relieve congestion.
🌿 Elderberry
Elderberry has a long history of traditional use during cold and flu season. Always choose properly prepared products.

🌸 Echinacea
Echinacea, also known as purple coneflower, has been used in traditional herbal wellness practices for generations. It’s popular during cold season and is available as teas, tinctures, and capsules.
Echinacea isn’t suitable for everyone, particularly people with certain allergies or those taking immune suppressing medications, so it’s worth checking before using it.

💊 Zinc & Vitamin C
Both are important nutrients for normal immune function. Zinc lozenges may help shorten a common cold when started early, while vitamin C supports normal immune health. More isn’t always better, so pay attention to recommended amounts.

🌼 Homeopathic Wellness Products
Some families also like keeping homeopathic products in their wellness cabinets. If you’re interested in exploring them, here are two of my favorites.

Don’t Forget the Basics!
Getting enough sleep, eating nourishing foods, staying hydrated, washing your hands, and giving your body time to rest are some of the most valuable habits we can practice.
I love learning about natural wellness, but I also believe in knowing when it’s time to seek medical care, especially with influenza.
⛑️Let’s share some ideas!
What’s one thing you always keep in your natural wellness cabinet during cold and flu season?
I’d love to hear your favorite homemade remedies, comforting teas, or wellness traditions!

I must be in a fall mood today. First I shared the hand soap, and now a yummy recipe.
I hope you enjoy this easy Pumpkin Apple Spice Muffin recipe with a Cinnamon Pecan Crumble. 🍂 ( Inspired by the Weight Watchers two ingredient muffins).
It not only tastes good, but will make your home smell amazing!
You may have seen the popular pumpkin muffins made with a box of spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin. Well, I thought it would be fun to give them a little autumn twist by adding fresh apples and a crunchy cinnamon pecan topping! 🍁
🧁 Here's What You'll Need:
1 box (15.25 oz) spice cake mix
1 can (15 oz) pure pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1 small Honeycrisp apple, finely diced
½ tsp. cinnamon
🍂 Cinnamon Pecan Crumble:
¼ cup chopped pecans
2 tbsp. old-fashioned oats
1 tsp. pure maple syrup
¼ tsp. cinnamon
👩🍳 Let's Bake!
Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 12-cup muffin pan.
Mix the dry cake mix, pumpkin puree, and cinnamon. No eggs, oil, or butter needed!
Gently fold in the diced apple.
Divide the batter evenly between muffin cups.
Mix the crumble ingredients and sprinkle over each muffin.
Bake approximately 20 to 25 minutes, or until the centers are fully baked. Allow them to cool slightly before enjoying!
A Little Well Sage Tip: You could also experiment with finely chopped, rehydrated freeze-dried apples if you have some tucked away in your pantry like we do.
I love recipes that take something simple and turn it into a little homemade goodness. These would be perfect with your morning coffee or as an afternoon fall treat! ☕🍁
💚 What do you think? Would you add the apples and pecans, or stick with the classic pumpkin spice muffins?

Does anyone actually enjoy folding laundry? Because it’s definitely not one of my favorite chores! 😂
After being gone for a week and a half, the laundry has officially taken over! Between unpacking, catching up on housework, and trying to get back into our normal routine, there’s plenty to keep me busy. If only they would put themselves away! 🤣
One load, one pile, and one chore at a time!
💚 Tell me, what’s your least favorite household chore? Is it folding laundry, washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, or something else?
