Lip blushing isn't always about adding color. Sometimes, it's about correcting it.

Over 20 years ago, this client had permanent lip color done. Unfortunately, the pigment was darker and cooler than she wanted, leaving her lips with a blue-purple tone that she had lived with ever since.

Our goal wasn't to give her a bold new lip color. We wanted to neutralize those cool tones and bring a little brightness back to her lips.

By carefully selecting warmer pigments, we were able to shift the color toward a softer, more natural-looking result.

What you're seeing here is HEALED, and we were both so pleased with the improvement!

This is a great example of how much pigment selection matters. Lip neutralization requires a different approach than traditional lip blushing, and every client's starting point is different.

Still there? Yes.
As dark and defined as the day we did it? Nope — and that's the point.

Permanent makeup should gradually soften and fade. That gives us room years later to adjust the color, shape and technique as your face, skin and preferences change.

For her refresh, we transitioned the brows to a soft powder brow and refreshed her eyeliner.

The goal has never been for your permanent makeup to look freshly tattooed forever. It's for it to age well.
