Sometimes, our bodies don’t give us a choice but to listen to it. Mine didn’t and I am so glad.
I was diagnosed with Endometrial Adenocarcinoma on February 15.
It started with a trip to the ER on February 3rd. 8 hours in the ER with meds to slow down bleeding. Talk of an emergency hysterectomy but the doctors decided to wait.
On February 7 I had an appointment with my Gyn and was told a hysteroscopy was needed and it would be about 4-6 weeks till that happened. On February 9, my body decided it didn’t want to wait and was back in the ER for the hysteroscopy and removal of large fibroids. It was a 12 hour day of surgery, blood transfusions and recovering.
On February 15, we got the call no one ever wants to get. It’s cancer.
On February 17 a blood clot was found in my lung and an IVC filter was placed.
After a struggle getting an appointment with a gynecologic oncologist and a very moving email from my husband to the hospital, we got scheduled for an appointment on February 27.
Surgery was scheduled for the following week on March 6.
I have heard stories of women who have had to wait months just to get an initial appointment. Don’t wait, keep calling, be your own advocate, and don’t be afraid to speak up.
My husband sent the email without me knowing. It moved the doctors office enough to call within 2 hours of receiving. I am and will be forever grateful.
I am one of the lucky ones. Pathology came back as stage 1 grade 3. Only 5 rounds of radiation and no chemo.
My journey was fairly easy. Recovering from surgery was not fun but it wasn’t too difficult.
Don’t get me wrong, I am thankful my cancer journey was easy, but I have guilt that it was. It’s like I didn’t have cancer at all. Just had to have surgery.

Listen to your bodies Ladies. If you feel like something is wrong, visit your doctor. If you feel a second opinion is needed, get one. No one knows your body like you do.

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since our last post!

I am going to be blunt…I just had no energy or desire to deal with social media. Recovering from several procedures, surgery, radiation and just trying to feel like myself again took all the energy. I’m starting to feel human again, starting to be a little less tired and ready to jump back into social media.

So, stay tuned to see some new changes, updated treatments and new services.

I’m only back part time for now but
I AM BACK.
It’s been a crazy couple of months and we are still a little unsure what radiation and possible chemo holds for me but a plan is forming.

I’ll be back in the studio for limited appointments next week until radiation and chemo start. So, I’m only scheduling 1 week at a time.

Well folks, it’s finally time!
My surgery to remove the broken lady parts is scheduled and I can get on the road to healing and getting back in the studio! I am tentatively back in the studio on April 17(hopefully sooner if my doctor give me the ok)
Lydia and I will be contacting everyone on the books and shifting appointments around. Thank you all for your continued support, love and prayers.

I have been diagnosed with uterine cancer and am currently waiting to get in with an oncologist.
I will be running a very limited schedule for the next few months.
Lydia will be in the studio on Mondays and Wednesdays to take on some clients as well.
I am doing everything I can and everything the doctors are telling me to do so I can get back into the studio.

You will be hearing from either Lydia or myself to possibly juggle your appointment around.
