Went to an amazing ministry this past weekend: Fathers in the Field. Addressing our duty to "Defend the cause of the fatherless " Isaiah 1:17

Had me bawling all weekend.

John and I are preparing to be an active part in it. But now to wait for the application process to go through, background checks, and then more intense training. Keep in mind, this ministry is more for the males but with the support of their wives. An intentional, one year commitment with a lifelong result. The goal is to save their hearts and save their souls. The rate of fatherless boys committing su***de is exponentially high. We need to stop change that ASAP. Men need to step up and help these boys.

A quote that really stuck:
"Mothers raise boys. Fathers raise Men."

Mothers were not created to be the Fathers. No matter how much you want to be for your little boy. There is a hole in their heart in the shape of their father and they blame themselves for their fathers not being there.

They need positive role models to help guide them and show them the way. To help heal that fatherless wound.

I also had a 50% off coupon so got these for 50 cents each!! 🥲 I wanted more so badly. I'm keeping myself to a few each trip since there are so many delightful items to buy there. 🥰

Learn to schedule your days to allow yourself to RELAX once a week (preferably the same day each week). Your body needs it. No going around it. Take control of your life by taking control of your time, your health and ultimately, your future. One step at a time.

I highly recommend you get a notebook to doodle/write in anything that stands out. Best way to help you process information and make some connections quicker. You'll see improvements in a year at the start. Then by the month afterwards as you learn to see the smaller steps getting you there! You'll realize how much power you have to make a difference in your life!
