๐Ÿ‘ Is your "pain in the butt" actually coming from your piriformis?
While we have 6 deep glute muscles, your piriformis is a small muscle deep in your glutes that can become tight fro long hours of over extension. Think of sitting, repetitive movements, or chronic overuse of those daily habits.
As it gets irritated, it may contribute to discomfort that travels into the hip or down the leg to your toes.
Using a massage ball (lacrosse is my favorite, pin-point specific self-care tool) or foam roller can be a helpful way to improve mobility and decrease muscle tension when done correctly.
If stretching and rolling only provide temporary relief, it may be time to address the underlying muscle tension.

How are YOU? How's your body feeling today?

Not "how are you" on your normal autopilot, I mean genuinely pause for a second and check in with yourself.

While some people are a pain in the ass...thats not today's message!
But sometimes your pain in the ass is actually your glutes, hips, hip flexors, piriformis, any of the deep glute muscles, or low back pain. ๐Ÿ˜…
