This chair was never just about hair for me… even when I thought it was. I thought I was building a business, chasing success, perfecting my craft— but the whole time, God was positioning me for something bigger. He gave me more than clients… He gave me women with stories. Women carrying heartbreak, pressure, insecurity, silence. And somewhere between the consultation and the install, walls start to come down. Conversations get deeper. And what looks like a hair appointment turns into something holy. I’ve seen tears fall in this chair. I’ve felt the shift when heaviness lifts. I’ve watched women walk in unsure of themselves and leave standing a little taller, a little lighter, a little more whole. Because it was never just about the hair. It’s about creating a space where you’re safe to be real. Where you’re reminded of your worth. Where God can meet you exactly where you are— no pressure, no performance, just presence. I don’t take that lightly. This is my assignment. So yes, I’ll give you the hair… but I’m also going to pour into you, pray over you (even if it’s silently), and hold space for whatever God wants to do in that moment. I’m just the hands. A little color transformation I did the other day… This one was fun! She had been away at college and colored her hair herself, but had gotten tired of her blonde-ish copper shade. For a dramatic change, she wanted to take her hair a deep blue-black. Mission accomplished ✨ 

This bride is getting ready for her upcoming wedding and wanted to pump up the copper! Mission accomplished ✨🙌🏽 🧡

My friend came to see me last minute before she left town, with a minor hair emergency. She had told me she needed to have her roots done. However, I couldn’t believe it when I actually saw her hair. 🫣

She’s always been a blonde, but somehow her hair had taken on a darker shade and was very uneven & splotchy in spots. She had been with her previous stylist for 20 years.  I had never seen her hair look this way before. 😬

I couldn’t understand how this had happened. We didn’t have time for a complete overhaul, so I colored her roots, and added some highlights, in order to help blend some of the unevenness in her color before she left for Florida. 

She was on the verge of tears. She left happy and feeling much more like herself, lighter and brighter. However, I still wasn’t happy with the overall result.

What she needed was some slightly darker lowlights for dimension, in order to give her hair a much more even blend. She called me when she came back from Florida, and said that she loved her hair and was so much happier.

However, she wanted to also have some lowlights put into her hair, as we had discussed. I couldn’t wait. As we chatted about her hair, she worried that the lowlights would make her blonde appear darker.

I assured her it wouldn’t, but would add the perfect amount of dimension.  I’m happy to say the finished result was exactly what we both were looking for, and I don’t know which one of us was happier! 

Achieving Beautiful hair is sometimes a delicate process, but it is definitely possible with the right technique. So grateful for how this turned out! Happy clients make my heart happy!  (see her hair journey below) 👇🏽 (3 sessions later…)
