Using a rigid product like traditional acrylic on a compromised toenail can increase stress concentration at the nail attachment point. That rigidity does not accommodate the natural flexion of the toe during movement.

For this reconstruction, I used poly gel.

Why?

Because poly gel provides:
• Controlled flexibility under load
• Structural reinforcement
• Reduced stress transfer to the natural nail plate

This allows the nail to be protected while supporting healthy regrowth.
