Hello! I'm Caedrien. A licensed esthetics instructor.
I'm seeing so many estheticians trying to talk about different vitamins and how they affect the skin.
Now, estheticians know lots about vitamins, but only topically.
It is out of scope, unethical, and dangerous for an esthetician to speak about how anything, including vitamins and supplements, affects internal systems.
If an esthetician suspects that your acne or any other problem is caused by an internal factor, they should refer you to a doctor, not try to act as one.
Not to mention, it's actually very rare for someone to have a breakout due to B12, yet so many estheticians are telling you to skip it because of pseudoscience.
There's a reason your supplements say, "Talk to your doctor," and not your esthetician.

I figured it was time for a new introduction post. Not because I've gained any new followers or clients, but because several months ago I started socially transitioning, and I've finally built up the courage to announce it to my clients and followers.
My new name is Caedrien and I use he/him pronouns. Ever since I made this realization about myself and started transitioning I've felt so much happier and more comfortable in my skin. Please understand this change is authentic to me and a part of my needs.
Rest assured our interactions and my service quality will not change! Most of you don't even use my name or pronouns when you see me so this will be rather simple for all of us.

This is something I've heard other licensed professionals say. You actually have NO IDEA whether or not you've given someone an infection. That won't always trace back to you and even if you were guaranteed to know, why risk it?

As a wax specialist, I see a lot of ingrown hairs.
The largest culprit causing ingrown hairs? Dead skin.
