Funny story...

I bought this "dress" to wear for Anthony's birthday dinner. In the photos it looked lightweight, flowy, and absolutely perfect for a hot summer evening.

What did I forget to do?

Read the description. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Turns out... it isn't a dress at all. It's a swim cover-up. 😂😂

So, naturally, I hopped on Amazon and ordered a shapewear slip dress to wear underneath.
Problem solved! 🙌

Honestly? It worked out even better than I expected. It's super comfortable, the cover-up is nice and airy, and most importantly... all of my bits are covered. 😆

Tuesday MOTD 🤎🦀

Today's look is a special one because tonight we're celebrating Anthony's birthday! ❤️

We're heading out for a crab boil, which is funny because that's usually my birthday tradition. I guess sharing is part of a good relationship. 😉🦀

I knew I wanted a soft, romantic rosy brown eye, so I reached for my Morphe 35XO. I usually gravitate toward the pink shades in this palette, but today those beautiful rosy browns were exactly what I was looking for. It's always fun to rediscover a palette by using it a little differently.

Now it's time to put the makeup away, enjoy a great dinner, celebrate my favorite person, and probably eat entirely too much seafood.

Sunday MOTD 🤎

Today is all about editing, relaxing, and seeing where the day takes us.
For today's look, I reached for my Morphe 35O Nature Glow—my oldest palette and one I'll never part with. My daughter gave it to me as a birthday gift many, many moons ago, and it holds so many memories. ❤️

It's funny how makeup can do that. Every time I open this palette, I'm reminded that it's so much more than eyeshadow. It's a reminder of where I started, the memories attached to it, and why I love shopping my own collection.

The formula may not be the newest or trendiest anymore, but these warm neutrals still create a beautiful everyday look. Sometimes the oldest palettes are the ones that feel most like home.

It's another dark and rainy day, so I decided to create a look to match. We desperately needed the rain, so I'm not complaining... it just called for cool-toned, moody shadows today.

I mixed some favorite mattes from my well-loved ColourPop Stone Cold Fox, paired them with my Natasha Denona Retro (currently in my Deck of Panning), and added a little something with two of my Eyeshadow Roulette shades: Give Me Glow Grunge Lavender and Hex My Ex.

Friday MOTD ☀️ | Face Palette Friday

I'm making the rules today... magnetic palettes count as face palettes. 😂

For Face Palette Friday I reached for my palette of depotted Benefit blushes and used Terra, then topped everything off with Sydney Grace Pressed Highlighter in PSL Extra Whip. I love having my favorites all in one place!

On the eyes, I pulled out the Violet Voss Flamingo palette, and I'm happy to say I'm so close to completing my NPLB. 🎉 Every use gets me a little closer.

Golden lids, warm oranges, and all the summer sunshine vibes... I think this one was a winner. ☀️🍍✨

Wednesday MOTD 💜

I sat down with absolutely no plan today, so I reached for my Rick and Morty palette to get some progress for my Deck of Panning. The unused pink and purple shades became the inspiration for the whole look.

I pulled in Aurora Struck for a soft blending shade and a bright inner corner, then added Clionadh Rosette from my Eyeshadow

Roulette project for some sparkle. Rosette has been hanging around the longest, so it felt good to finally get another use on the books! 💜✨

It's gloomy and rainy today, so I reached for my old faithful comfort shades. ☁️💜

Sometimes I just want to play with the colors that feel like home. Soft mauves, cool taupes, and a little sparkle never disappoint.

The bonus? Quite a few of these products are in my project pans, so every use gets me one step closer to my goals. Progress doesn't always have to be exciting—it can be beautiful too. ✨

Honestly? I'm not mad about it. I probably should've thought of this color combo for the 4th, but instead I got a little too ambitious, made a giant makeup mess, and ended up celebrating barefaced. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Better late than never!

Today's look came from the Huda Mercury Retrograde and Beauty Bay Midnight 16 Pan, and of course I couldn't leave well enough alone. I added Devinah Cake Bomb and Rain Tarts because if there's an opportunity for extra sparkle... I'm taking it. ✨
