Today was a full beat kind of day, and honestly, it felt good. Pretending that I don't feel like trash until I don't feel like trash. The power of positivity.

The eyes were built around some project pan favorites: 🤎 ColourPop Stone Cold Fox 🤎 Devinah Pandora 🤎 Sydney Grace Dream Big
I'm also still working on hitting pan in Fickle Fate for Deck of Panning, so that shade got some love too.
And because it's Friday... it's Face Palette Friday! 🌞

I pulled out some face palettes that I specifically chose for summer during my Summer Makeup collab with Leanna on YouTube. If you've watched the video, you'll recognize a few of these favorites already making their way into my rotation.

This eye look is exactly why I love pairing singles with a good neutral palette. The beautiful mauvey beige from Pandora and the depth from Dream Big give Stone Cold Fox a completely different vibe than it would have on its own.

☀️🌴 SUMMER MAKEUP IS HERE!

For this month's collab over on YouTube(Link in bio) Leanna and I are sharing the makeup we're bringing into summer, and I couldn't be more excited!

Summer is my favorite season. Give me the sunshine, the heat, the humidity, all of it. ☀️ And my makeup definitely changes with the seasons. This time of year, I find myself reaching for glowy skin, bronzy tones, warm blushes, and makeup that just feels fresh and alive.

While I'll always be a neutral and mauve-loving girl at heart, summer is also when I love to pull in a little more color and play with products that remind me of long sunny days and warm evenings.

These are the products that will be front and center in my collection this season, and next month I'll be putting them to the test in a GRWM using the products I picked!

Thursday MOTD ✨

I've been a little under the weather this week, but I wanted to put some makeup on and feel a little more like myself today.

This is about as close to a "no makeup makeup" look as I get... except there was always going to be shimmer involved. 😂

For the eyes, I used Stone Cold Fox for the mattes and Devinah Silent Blizzard on the lid. That soft sparkle was exactly what I was in the mood for.

The rest of the face was very minimal: ✨ Skin tint
✨ Cream bronzer
✨ Cream blush
✨ Lip balm

No powder. No brows. Hair not done. Just enough makeup to make me feel human again.

Honestly, some days makeup isn't about creating a masterpiece. Sometimes it's just a little act of self-care that helps you feel more like yourself when you're not feeling your best. 💕

Wednesday MOTD 💙✨

Today is another IG collab day with Leanna , Ash , and Erica and we’re showing some love to Devinah shimmers… which honestly feels like speaking my love language. 😂
I started with some ColourPop mattes to build out the shape and depth, but the real stars today are: ✨ Magnetosphere
✨ Charmed
✨ Rain Tarts

This shiftiness and sparkle is EXACTLY why I love indie shadows so much. Photos never fully capture what these shades do in person, but trust me… she is SHINY shiny. The cool blue-lavender shift against the deeper purple outer corner is making my little magpie brain very happy. 😍

Also, I love doing collabs like this because everyone interprets the same prompt completely differently. Same theme, totally different vibes. That’s one of my favorite things about makeup.

And yes… this absolutely pushed me a little outside my neutral comfort zone and I regret nothing. 💙💜

Sunday MOTD 🍕💜✨

Today we’re heading out for a late Mother’s Day celebration with Anthony’s mom since she wasn’t feeling well during Mother's Day. We’re making the little road trip to Marion’s because if you know, you KNOW… Marion’s isn’t just pizza, it’s basically a public institution at this point. 😂🍕

For today’s makeup, I kept my trusty Stone Cold Fox in the mix for lid setting and brow bone (because apparently I physically cannot resist reaching for that palette 😆) and brought in the fun with the Huda Mercury Retrograde for the color. And honestly? This soft pinky-lilac shimmer moment is making me very happy. She’s glowy, a little dreamy, and just colorful enough without leaving my comfort zone.
Neutral girlies can still have a little fun. 💜✨

Now off to eat my weight in pizza toppings and celebrate a belated Mother’s Day. 🥰

Thursday MOTD 🍯✨

I haven’t had makeup on my face for a couple of days, and honestly? It felt so good to sit down and just play in my makeup again. Since we’re going out for BBQ tonight and actually sitting down inside like civilized people instead of our usual "car dates" 😂, I figured it was the perfect excuse.

Today’s look was the Sugar Rush Bee palette with a couple of Sydney Grace singles from my Eyeshadow Roulette project… and spoiler alert 🚨 I got my final uses on those shadows! Always a good feeling when project progress and a pretty makeup day line up.

This look is warm, glowy, golden, and just a little smoky… basically everything I love in an eye look. That shimmer is doing exactly what I wanted it to do. 🥰

Makeup, BBQ, and crossing shadows off my project list? That’s a solid Thursday if you ask me.

Monday MOTD 💕🔥

I had big plans to film today and then our HVAC decided it no longer wanted to participate in society. 😂

It’s 87° outside and after filming one video with a full face of makeup, I tapped out. I love summer but sweating through makeup while trying to film is not the vibe.

Today’s look was a mix of the ColourPop Smoke and Roses palette plus a few shades from my Eyeshadow Roulette project:
✨ Patrina & Sweet Slush from Devinah
✨ Rosette from Clionadh

I’m really loving this combination of soft rosy tones with a little sparkle and depth. It feels romantic but still wearable… which is basically my sweet spot.

Also, can we appreciate how much my roulette shades are pushing me to combine shadows I normally wouldn’t think to pair together? That’s honestly been my favorite part of the project.

Now excuse me while I go sit directly in front of a fan until further notice. 😅

One thing about me… if I have access to farm fresh eggs, I’m making egg salad 😄🥚

My in-laws have chickens so we are spoiled with a never-ending egg supply and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. Eggs are such a staple for us with the way we eat and I use them constantly for deviled eggs, salads and of course… egg salad.

I make my hard boiled eggs in the instant pot using the 7/7/7 method: 🥚 7 minutes pressure
🥚 7 minute natural release
🥚 7 minute ice bath

Perfect every time. (Even if one occasionally sacrifices itself to the pressure cooker gods 🤣)

For my egg salad, I dice half the eggs really fine and leave the other half chunkier for texture. Then I mix in: ✨ mayo
✨ yellow mustard
✨ sweet relish
✨ horseradish
✨ salt & pepper
✨ lots of dill because I’m a dill girl forever 😌

The horseradish gives it the BEST little zing.

Simple food. Real food. My favorite kind 💛

MOTD ✨

This look is from Friday's video. I did a GRWM collab with Kay where we talked about whether 2026 is becoming the new 2016… and honestly? Some of these trends really are coming full circle. 😂

So of course I had to pull out the iconic ABH Modern Renaissance palette since it originally launched in 2016 and basically had the beauty community in a chokehold. Warm tones, bold mattes, dramatic glam… she was the moment.

And honestly? I still really love this palette. The formula may not feel groundbreaking anymore, but those tones are timeless and still create such a beautiful look. It reminded
me that sometimes products become classics for a reason.

It was also funny filming this because back in 2016 I wasn’t deeply into the beauty community yet. I definitely wasn’t buying every new release or following every trend.

Meanwhile now I’m sitting here revisiting Modern Renaissance like some kind of makeup historian. 🤣
