✨ When Faith Meets the Journey ✨

Every now and then, we meet a client who reminds us that resilience isn’t about never experiencing hardship — it’s about how you respond to it.

Recently, I had a conversation with a beautiful soul who’s been living with an autoimmune disease. She came to us with the desire to start her Microlocs journey. We talked openly about the real risks, including the chance of hair thinning or loss that can happen when autoimmune diseases affects the scalp.

To be honest… we had doubts. We are not medical professionals nor God to give counsel or adjudication. We have rejected several potential clients with scalp/hair conditions. Even hereafter we caution ⚠️ taking on hair conditions affected by health conditions. We don’t target all markets of potential clients as opportunistic nor are we money driven. We are purpose-driven to cultivating Microlocs and Sisterlocks.

The investment of Microlocs and Sisterlocks is not for the faint! However, we wanted to make sure she understood everything — that we’d be patient, gentle, and intentional every step of the way. We discussed how to reduce stress on her hair and scalp through light tension, nutrition, and at home styling habits.

But what touched us most was her spirit. She is a woman of faith and nurse by profession. At chairside, she taught me a few things about kidney failure to adopt to my own wellness and prevention.

She looked at me and said, “I still want to do this. I have no other choice.”

At that moment, I knew this wasn’t just about hair — it was about healing, courage, and faith.

So we moved forward. This reminded me that sometimes, our journey isn’t about avoiding risk… Playing it safe…
Choosing caution…
Avoiding the process…
Waiting until conditions are perfect…
Staying in the comfort zone …
it’s about being courageous when the odds are more in favor of oppositions. The greatest milestone is self love regardless of your past, present and future
crown 👑 condition.
