A very fond farewell indeed 🤍

Hello there,

I have some important news regarding the future of my work as a stylist.

The formalities:

I have accepted a new full time position and will be transitioning away from hair as my full time employment. I will be starting in this new role after Thanksgiving.

ALL current appointments will be honored, as they stand.

I am working on a list of stylists I can refer you to, if needed. I am also, more than happy to share your color formulas / processing information to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.

The emotional bit …

I know this news will come as a shock, and it may seem sudden, but this all came about very quickly for me as well. The last two years have been extremely challenging. The constant worry about my respiratory health and the physical toll this beautiful career of mine for the last 12 years, has taken on my body has led me to do a lot of soul searching. This last year especially. Leaving something you love, and more importantly, people you love, is never easy. But I’m ready to challenge myself, learn new skills and see how many more facets of myself I’ve yet to discover.

I want to say, emphatically, Thank you.

Thank you for trusting me, confiding in me, laughing and crying with me. To be your hairstylist has been so much more to me. It’s bonds of friendship and humanity, care and trust, love and support. I am so much better a person having shared these experiences with you.

I am available, as always, for any questions you may have and wish you the very very best in the new year.

All my love, your stylist,

Nicole

Hello! If you’re a current client of mine you should have received an email regarding my mask policy. (Check those spam folders!)

In short, In the 12 years I’ve been doing hair the last 2 years (masked) have been the only years in which I haven’t had multiple bouts of bronchitis or pneumonia. My respiratory health has taken a huge hit doing what I love.

If I’m to continue to be a hairstylist I have to prioritize my health so I can continue working.

So, for as long as I’m doing hair, masks will be required for services.

If you forget your mask, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered. I’ll always have a supply on hand.

Don’t want to wear a mask to your service? That’s ok too! I totally respect your decision. I’m happy to refer you to some trusted stylists that don’t have the respiratory issues I do and can continue their careers without masking.

As always, don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I look forward to styling you soon!

Transformation Sunday! That’s a thing right? 😄 Well it was today!!

My darling client who’s been with me since the beginning hadn’t been in to see me since July of last year 😳 (swipe for that before!) This was the longest and darkest I’ve ever seen her hair 😄

We chopped off an entire foot of hair! 🦶I did a combo of foilyage and baby lights to give her brightness but leave in some depth of her natural and a root glaze to make the grow out softer. She’s set for another 3 months until I see her again and her appointments from now on will be lower maintenance as well 🤗

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed transitioning clients to more lived in colors that still suit them but require less maintenance.

Doesn’t she look gorgeous?!?!!

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION⚠️

Cases are exploding in Ohio and as such I am making some changes.

Please read the second slide for information and read on for more …

I would once again like to ask you if your hair care needs are not dire, if you feel you can wait … please do so. I have never and will never charge a cancellation fee. We all have to take care of one another; now more than ever.

I will also be moving all possible full wash and style haircuts to dry cuts only. This means you need to come in with your hair clean and dry so that I can cut your hair.

Wash and style will only be included with color services. *If you are receiving color please note I will be cutting back on long services again, in an effort to limit my exposure.

If you are uncomfortable for any reason, cancel or reschedule. I see you, your concern is real and valid and will be met with respect. I will happily reschedule you anytime in the future when you again feel comfortable.

Waitlist link is still live. Click the website link in my bio on my homepage. Enter your first and last name and phone number. If there is a cancellation I will be running from this list to fill any openings that may become available.

That’s all for now but I’m sure there will be more. Messsge me with any questions or concerns.

Stay safe y’all.

It was this babes birthday yesterday! 🥳 She came in for a quarantine birthday glow up!
〰️
Foiling. Balayage. Toner. 3 1/2 hours and she’s feeling like herself again.
〰️
Always such a pleasure spending time with you 💛 I hope you had a birthday as lovely as you are! @ Nicole Marie at Salon Lofts Clintonville

First time color on this babe 😱
〰️
Went for a very natural lived in look,
which took 4 hours to achieve. Making color look natural takes time, it’s not quick, so you gotta have patience.
〰️
This babe will be good to go for 4-6 months with this color … maybe longer. Your time is valuable, I try to make it count when you’re in my chair … and I’m a sucker for a good grow out 😎

🛑 IMPORTANT UPDATES 🛑
Hi friends. Couple things: I will continue to book appointments off of my waitlist for the foreseeable future. If you would like an appointment please click the link in my bio, click waitlist, add your full name, phone number and service requested and I will be in touch.

SEPTEMBER: As most of you know I will be moving my mother to Ohio in September. I will be flying out and driving her back and will be self quarantining for two weeks once back (unless I can secure a covid test to confirm negative) this will take me away from the loft from 9/6-9/28. Please plan accordingly. Once in for an appt I am rebooking clients as far out as they would like.

✨Hit me with any questions.
✨✨Stay safe.
✨✨✨ Be kind. @ Nicole Marie at Salon Lofts Clintonville

I am starting to schedule clients. My first day back is 6/1. Once I have scheduled a client I will mark them as “served” on my online waitlist. This will move people “up in line” and you will receive a notification of your new place in line. PLEASE NOTE: I am only booking 2 weeks at a time right now. This will allow me to adjust to this new way of working and make necessary adjustments as needed. PLEASE. BE. PATIENT. I am navigating this the best I can, but I’m only one person. Please respond to messages as soon as you are able. This will help me tremendously as I have over 60 clients to reschedule. Thanks y’all for your patience and understanding ❤️
