👋🏽Hey Y’all, its me, Jay Ro!! Here’s the faces behind Brown Suga Treats….Let me get PERSONAL for a minute. 🥹🤎 Because I don’t think I’ve ever really shared our story and what this business truly means to me.

First things first, Brown Suga Treats was MY idea, MY dream, and MY vision. My wife, Apryle, is the incredible baker who brings that vision to life, and I’ll forever be grateful for the woman who works from sunup to sundown in that kitchen helping make my dreams a reality. ❤️🥹

My goal is to have a storefront or a MOBILE BAKERY in a FOOD TRUCK! 😭🙌🏾 I don’t want to work for corporate America my whole life. Nor do I want us to be limited to being cottage bakers (salute to my fellow bakers tho 🫡). I want to build something of my own, create a legacy for my family, and one day have y’all saying, “Dang, look at Jay! HE REALLY DID THAT!” Also.. Yall think her desserts are fire🔥..just WAIT til yall taste her COOKING. 😮‍💨

I’ve never been the type to ask anybody for a handout, and believe me when I say I’m WORKING for every dollar. I built our website. I’m working on an app (🤫). I’m constantly thinking about how to grow, improve, and turn this little business into something BIGGER. The storefront and/or food truck? That’s the end goal. And I’m putting in the work to get there. 🤎

And for those who don’t know me personally, I’m on the autism spectrum 🧩 (AuDHD) and have sensory processing issues. So when I tell y’all I DO NOT COOK, I MEAN IT! 😂😂 That’s the MAIN reason wifey kicks me out of the kitchen!! 💀 I can build a website and plan an entire business, but ANY touching of raw ingredients?? 🙂‍↔️🙅🏽‍♂️ ABSOLUTELY NOT! Sooo its just better for her (and me) if i dont.. lol, I can make a mean bowl of cereal, though! 🙂‍↕️🥣🤣

🥹 But seriously, Brown Suga Treats is NOT a hobby to me. THIS IS OUR FUTURE. We owned a beauty supply store in Washington State before COVID shut us down, and I know what it feels like to build something of your own. Now im back home in Ohio & this time, I’m chasing that dream again. PLEASE BELIEVE I’m coming for EVERYTHING I’ve envisioned and earned 🙏🏽😮‍💨

🤎A LITTLE HUMILITY, A LOT OF GRATITUDE.🤎

Today, we officially & 100% rolled out our website operations at Brown Suga Treats, and whewwww… we had a DAY! 😂😭

We had a few hiccups, ran a little behind for some of our customers, and even had an order mix-up that resulted in one customer receiving somebody else’s cake. 🥴 Listen, we were WORKING through it today! 😂

But you know what? WE MADE IT THROUGH! 🙌🏾

And what I’m most grateful for is the grace, patience, kindness, and understanding our customers showed us throughout the day. Y’all could have made a tough day even tougher, but instead, you showed us love, and we do NOT take that lightly. ❤️

I also want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been using our website and letting us know when something isn’t working quite right. With any new system, there are going to be hiccups, and your feedback helps Jay identify the issues and get them fixed. So please, keep letting us know! We appreciate your patience as we work through everything.

And let me tell y’all something about Jay Ro. 🥹🤎 Over the past MONTH, he has worked SO HARD to get this website up and running. Hours upon hours staring at that computer, building, troubleshooting, fixing, learning, and figuring things out. And guess what? HE’S STILL BUILDING! This is a work in progress, and he’s committed to making it better for all of us.

So if you’ve sent us feedback, pointed out a glitch, or been patient while we work through an issue, THANK YOU. You’re not just helping us improve our website. You’re helping us build a better experience for every customer who comes after you. 🫶🏾
