Oak & Olive Salon Update 🤍
Your loyalty, trust, and support over the years have meant so much to me! This space was built because of you, and I’m so grateful for each and every appointment, conversation, and friendship that’s grown here.
As many of you know, my kids are at a stage where they need a little more of my time and presence. I’ve decided to take a little step back from behind the chair in Columbus to soak up these moments with them 🤍 I will still be taking clients Mondays and Tuesdays in the salon.
With that said, I’m looking for the right fit to rent my studio part-time. You would have full access to my studio Wednesday - Sunday every week.
This is perfect for an independent stylist who values a calm, clean environment and wants a cozy place to grow.

This schedule will not go into effect until this space is filled. All of my currently booked appointments are of course, still honored!

exciting update! I have now partnered with Aqua hair extensions to be carried in my studio.
tape ins are great for many uses. fullness, length and what I love about this brand are the pops of color! as you may know, I don’t do vivid/fantasy color but with this brand we have a range of vivid we could add. No natural hair damage, no commitment!

had a lovely new client yesterday who was in need of a color correction! We were very happy with our first session to correcting her hair. (swipe to see where we started!)
at this time with Briggsy’s health, I will not be accepting new clients for quite awhile until I know what his long term care looks like.

the tutorial every millennial curly girl needed in our crunchy hair era🫡 here is how to scrunch out your gel cast! The number one question I get is how to get good hold & definition without crunch, and I understand completely.I have ran away from gel and mousse ever since I was a teen because of the horrid memories of how crispy my hair looked. But hear me out friends, we NEED the gel and mousse for hold and definition! in this video, my hair was diffused to 90% dry then while I apply my make up I let it air dry for another 15-20 minutes then when I’m ready to break the cast, I grab my oil and get to work.I use the oil first to add the bonding needed in my hair. The reason why I continue to use the diffuser is because even though the hair may feel dry to the touch, underneath the cast usually there’s some moisture left. The diffuser also helps add volume while I’m scrunching the cast out. I give it a nice spray of hairspray and then top it off with the ghost oil. Shake out my roots to continue to fluff and add volume. And voilà defined soft bouncy curls with no crunch!
