Californias Toxic-free Cosmetics Act Moves to the Governor On Aug., 30, 2020, Californias Assembly Bill 2762 moved forward for the governors approval. The bill aligns with European Union law prohibiting the use of 12 specified ingredients in cosmetics sold in the state.

Toulene

Generally speaking, toulene is a paint thinner often found in nail polish 💅🏽. It has been associated with dizziness, numbness, dry skin, and irritated nose, eyes, and throat. 🤮

Regular exposure can weaken the immune system and cause birth defects and reproductive issues.

Parabens!

This ingredient is mostly likely the last ingredient listed on your product's ingredient list. Any ingredient that ends with "ben" is a PARABEN!🚫☢
These preservative chemicals are associated with the following in infants and children: developmental disorders, dysfunction of the immune system, learning problems. In women, may play a role in reproductive disorders and the development of certain types of breast cancer Parabens also have been associated with adversely interfering with the male reproductive system.

Parabens are SO common. Sweep your kids' and man's products too for this pesky offender! 🔍🧽🧹

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate & Sodium Laureth Sulfate SLS & SLES:
AKA Soap Suds!

Surfactants that can cause skin irritation and trigger allergies. SLES is often contaminated with 1, 4 dioxane, a by product of a petrochemical process called ethoxylation, which is used to process other chemicals in order to make them less harsh.
