Did you know that as a salon employee it is against the law to provide any service to a client that requires you to place your hand in their mouth? This includes teeth whitening and the application of tooth gems. Because the bleach or cementing of gems to a tooth changes the structure of the tooth, this falls under the “practice of dentistry” and therefore is considered a crime.

You ARE allowed to offer these products for sale with verbal instruction along with manufacture guidelines and packaging but you may NOT apply these products to your client’s teeth.
