Handmade soaps from Columbus, Ohio We offer handmade cold process soap featuring moisturizing plant oils and skin loving clays. Not local?
We order our oils as close to home as possible in order to minimize the distance they travel, and we grow the herbs and vegetables used in the soap in our own garden. I can't believe it's almost Halloween! This year has flown by and I simultaneously feel like I've gotten both a lot done and nothing done.

One day soon I'll need to repoint this stone.
A small portion of the basement is reserved for my soapmaking. As I get things under control around here I can get back into it. I'm considering last year a "false start" since we didn't plan to move so the business restart was derailed.

I pass this room every time I go to my home office. Weird thing is, I probably have only opened the door maybe half a dozen times since we moved in. Unsafe subfloor, plumbing that has only been roughed in, and a collection of debris makes it unusable. One day we will have an upstairs bathroom too.
Those built-ins are going to be so cute! I like to think about how I'll pull it all together. And ignore how much work it'll be.

So much going on lately. From messy dumps of items during a move, to big-time cleanup and repair in preparation for drywall. From old newspapers once found at our house gifted from a neighbor, to the delivery of new vintage looking hardware in anticipation of cabinet replacement. It's been a wild spring.

I've been a little busy demo'ing necessary parts of a Foursquare in Franklin Park. I'm so excited for what it can become, but wow are we knee deep in dust and junk. 😂

Thank you, liquid wrench. Happily my heat vents all work now! I have a couple that will still need to be snagged from the house (high traffic areas I didn't want someone falling into) but these have been washed and are in line for spray paint. Hard to explain how glad I was that they were all still in the house.

A bit of an adventure through rural Ohio today 💕 collecting some pieces to help restore the Bryden house. Can't wait until we close! (My husband probably feels similar because I'm running out of space to store things. 😂)
