Both front and back have images, are hand painted, embellished and bedazzled with beads, sparklies and holographic glitter for your pleasure! They're signed with the year, on the back. The proceeds from these are going towards travel expenses for the 4 upcoming stomach and esophageal procedures in Cleveland at the Cleveland clinic. I will need heavy anesthesia and cannot drive back home after so we have to stay overnight in a hotel which is going to be around 130 a night plus Uber to get back and forth from the hotel to the hospital.

It's been a minute since posting any new items. We've got them (cosmetics, skincare, haircare, body and bath products, gourmet goodies), they're ready to go, we've just been trying to scrape enough money and time together to create labels that are functional and won't fall apart or smear when coming in contact with oil or water. Really I hope to be putting them up in the shop by February at the latest. Time will tell.

That's all still in the works, but for now, we are very excited to introduce a bit of a throw back item from the artists' studio (now under the umbrella of HOTMAM to keep things simple - for what marbles I have left rattling around that I'm trying to preserve), I have yoinked out the brushes and paint to create some adorable, witchy, glitzy, gothy, rustic, one-of-a-kind ornaments! Coming in late with something like this, you say? Well, 1. I didn't say holiday ornament or Christmas ornament because you can put these up anywhere any time of the year. And 2. These would make a super sweet last minute gift, adornment for a gift basket etc. It's been a very rough last few months. As it is, our SNAP benefits got stolen, *again*, so we got a food box for Christmas dinner and got 3 cans of tuna because apparently no one donated turkeys this year. The volunteers were crying because they felt so bad for people receiving the boxes. We felt bad for all the kids having to go without a Christmas dinner too. Just shouldn't be like this. Ever. We'll figure things out, but that's just a sample of the tide of chaos I'm trying to control. I'm just over here trying to do whatever I can to make sure we have what we need and I can make it to my specialists in Cleveland. So, it's ornaments for now. 😉

Seemingly random autistic small detour, incoming: I didn't think I've ever explained this before, but it might be interesting information since I've been asked a few times what the "esthetic" of the shop is. It never struck my autistic brain that "esthetic" could be important for folx to know before they've even checked the page lol but apparently it is? 🤷‍♀️

I took a few to think about it because it's hard to define. It's honestly a reflection of my soul. Like I might not outwardly project this esthetic (through how I dress or in my make up looks, my house isn't really decorated at all. Most would call it something like "raccoon craft hoarder esthetic" with all the cubbies stuffed with art, crafts, sewing supplies etc lol) but what I do create is within the esthetic reality I'd most love to have in my life. I think the lack of being surrounded in this "esthetic" is mostly a reflection of how much I neglect self care lol I'm just too busy learning new things, tinkering around, trying to create things that bring folx joy, pump my brain with dopamine and generally, genuinely, I'm exhausted from life.

So! I finally nailed it down, and I think this fits as closely as anything could - "Haunted Farmhouse Dark Forest Whimsy Witch Core". 😂😂😂 I mean, it's got a flow, right? 🙃

The Anomalies

1. something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.

The Anomalies is series of Fine Art Eaux de Parfum, Candles inspired by badass females (real or fictional) that have influenced my evolution as an artist, as well as a femme identifying human being.

These are olfactive fine art portraits of women whose stories have been, in the least, examples of a system of historic gender oppression, dehumanized, commodified, neglected, isolated and exiled - many suffered horrific abuse and even death/execution because they were powerful women that tested, or threatened the system. They forced a male dominated society and structure to observe its own perversion. They have left an enduring mark in my head and on my heart and shaped the human I am today. Their stories have awaken me, comforted me, inspired me. This is my gift of thanks to them and to honor them. - Ruby Moon

This collection is an ongoing series that will have new "olfactory portraits" added to it as we feel inspired. This style of votive is limited as our source has discontinued selling it. We will be selling this particular style until they're are sold out. We are currently looking for a new vessel for them. They will only be sold in votive size. These are 3oz round glass vessels with a mercury glass finish, clean and slow burning cococream wax with a crackling wooden wick for $18. Fragrance Profiles in the comments.

This page is still "under construction" as we add all the item photos and details. It's been a labor of love from constructing and deconstructing then reconstructing this page. Lol There's so much more to come! But we finally have this fundraising project going in the right direction- as the vision we originally had for it and super excited to share it with you!

Change can be scary, but change is also an opportunity to set the correct course. We feel that the new direction we are taking this project is a more all encompassing and fulfilling expression of what brings us joy and will hopefully enable us to access the medical care we need in this healing journey.

So what's changing? Unfortunately, many of the previous candle collections and fragrances have to be discontinued. Forest of Dreams might make a comeback if I can reformulate the fragrance oil blends but for now, they'll have to be shelved. Some of the fragrance oils we used for the blends we had available in Forest of Dreams are now discontinued from our supplier. 💔 Some of the other previous candle fragrances have been tweaked and repurposed in our new candles (not far from the originals) so if you liked them you might like the new versions as well. Check out the new fragrance profiles or ask me which are similar to the old ones.

Medusa and Frida are the only Eaux de Parfum from the Anomalies collection that will remain. I have formulations I'm still working on for fragrances in the collection that will be available relatively soon. Billie, Eartha and Marilyn to name a few inspirations. I am currently in school learning how to formulate on a more in depth and professional scale- how to manipulate fragrance oils and how to work with various forms of essential compounds to create even more unique fragrances (creating my own accords) as well as skin and hair care products and cosmetics. So exciting!

We will be offering the votives previous candle collections came in - such as Autumn's Hearth, Wanderlust and Winter Bliss, for gift order (your choice of fragrance such as Morticia or Krampus in one of these votive vessels) until they run out. Until we can find a more reliable and affordable source for votive vessels that fit the theme of House of The Moon and Moth, there will only be the 7.8oz size black matte vessels (and wax tarts in clamshell containers) available for gift order with our candles. We have one fragrance formulated for our diffusers and working on more to offer. The clean fragrance oils that are compatible for diffusers, are few and I'm finding a bit difficult to source. We'll get there! Just going to keep looking around. 😉

Bunny Bones is a collection inspired by that which is dark, yet cute or beautiful. There is a word for this - "wynorrific". The Japanese have a fashion culture called Yami Kawaii - Yami meaning "sick" and "dark" and Kawaii meaning "cute", "small" or "pretty". There is an emphasis on, not only medical, but mental heath issues as well, which I love. There is a subgenre of goth culture called Pastel Goth that, spoiler alert, incorporates pastel colors into a (mostly) black wardrobe. We wanted to formulate a collection that arms wide open, whole heartedly, embrace the dark, sick, beautiful cuteness!

Each candle is a "made to order" gift for a $30 (or 3 for $75 with an extra mystery gift) donation towards Ruby's medical fund to get her to Cleveland for her surgeries, for travel expenses, medications, bioavaliable and liposomal supplements, mobility aids and splints.
