Come with me to get my hair cut by N i c o l e C o p e n . She did a great job balancing out my diy haircut and giving me the option to wear it curly more.
Thank you Nicole!

My husband and I are getting ready to celebrate 11 years of marriage.
October is our anniversary month, and I thought it was the perfect time to share a few things that didn’t go quite as planned—but thankfully, didn’t ruin our day. First things first. We eloped in October but these pictures are from our wedding celebration in April. We had to move the date from the fall to spring.

Winter hair is calling 🤍
Passion: I am the oldest and the firstborn daughter—double check. The “do it myself” attitude got me this far. It’s 2020, and I’m painting my salon because I didn’t want to spend 7k on painters. I called all the people I loved, and they showed up to help. Years passed, and I continued to grow up. I will always secretly want to do everything myself. But slowing down and asking for help from time to time is the only way I’ve made it this far.

Sometimes I wish I could zip myself back six years and tell myself everything I didn’t know. But sometimes, ignorance is what keeps us going and keeps us fighting.
Building a business has been one of the hardest, most emotional adventures of my life. Sometimes I wonder what my 2020 self would say to me now if she could see how far we’ve come.
Don’t let the moments suck you under. Take each moment for the gift it gives you. Take a deep breath. Live in each moment. Time is the one thing that isn’t on your side. Don’t waste it.
