5 Phases of Loc Growth

1. STARTER PHASE- aka the baby phase, this phase is the first day you put your hair in locs to 6 months.
2. BUDDING PHASE- aka the sprouting phase, this phase your parts may become less visible and will need to have a retwist to maintain.
3. TEEN PHASE- aka the ugly/ locking phase, your locs will look puffier as they begin to take their true form of how locs should look.
4. MATURITY PHASE- this is the phase when your locs have grown longer, firm, and taken a good shape so that you don’t have to retwist them as often.
5. ROOTED PHASE- aka adult phase, your locs will have grown out in equal length and feel heavier.
