I’ve been eating too much meat lately, but dang this was good. My plant based pesto with spaghetti squash and some salmon. Hit the spot! Now I will get back on track and be a good girl so my body can cool down and drop the inflammation. If I’m going to eat meat, cooking it at home is best when possible. Far less inflammatory, because I don’t use seed oils.

Seed oils and vegetable oils will inflame you quickly! Just say no, when possible.~ 🧠♥️

This week was not a great week for so many reasons. Some out of my control and some that I must take charge of emotionally and in every other way. By the end of the market today, I was mentally exhausted and done. So I forced and I mean forced myself, to go to the forest…. Why? I needed to recharge and a regular walk wasn’t going to cut it. I needed God’s nutrition, the kind that comes from the forest air, the trees, the microbes and the animals. As I prayed to God, suddenly 4 deer 🦌 ran in front of me and I knew it was His love. From there my mind began to clear a bit, but I still wasn’t where I wanted.

I saw this tree and decided to stop and do some balance work to challenge myself further. Balance is not just about the physiological body, it’s about the mind. If we don’t focus on the mind getting still, the body won’t balance. As I stood on the tree, wobbling back and forth, I remembered to 😮‍💨 breathe and to focus my mind in front of me on one area. To stop looking all over the place and laser focus ahead of me on one spot. As I did that, my body calmed and I was able to hold my pose. I felt God speak to me in that moment and say, “focus anywhere but Me will create chaos.”

And He’s right…. I was not fully right after my walk, lots of stuff going on, but I felt a peace I didn’t have going in to the forest. I go there to see my Father, to wrestle if need be and to let go of all I cannot change and release all that needs to be released.

Nature has a way of helping us be who we are designed to be. To help us reconnect with our Creator and find His love again. I am so grateful to Jesus for the love that the forest gives me. When was the last time you sought Him in nature? 🌳🙏🏻♥️
