Can we talk about May for a second?

Between weddings, networking events, continuing education classes, and a concert this month genuinely surprised me. I went in focused on business and came out reminded that life is the business.

As beauty professionals we give so much. This month gave back. I'm heading into June grounded, inspired, and ready.

Same color, different styling and lighting. This one’s subtle, but it’s not always.

In this photo, the difference is pretty subtle, but there is a shift.

The color is the same.
The difference = styling and lighting

Curled → more movement, more light reflection, a little extra pop
Straighter → smoother, more blended, closer to the “true” tone

And then lighting comes in…

Brighter/natural light can make everything look lighter and closer to the actual tone.
Lower or indoor lighting can make tones look deeper or more muted.

So even a soft change like this?
It’s the same reason some inspo photos look like completely different colors.

Sometimes the difference is minimal like this, and sometimes it’s a dramatic shift depending on styling & lighting combined.

That’s why I don’t just go off the photo.
I look at how you wear your hair and what you see more.
