Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your presence and guidance for those who are in the path of Hurricane Melvin. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 46:1-2 that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” Lord, we hold on to this promise and ask that You surround every person who must evacuate with Your protection.

For those who are unable to leave, Father, we declare Psalm 91:1-2 over their lives: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” Be their shelter and strong tower, Lord, in the midst of the storm.

We also lift up those still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. In their distress, remind them of Your words in Isaiah 41:10: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Lord, we ask that You provide comfort to their hearts, restore their hope, and supply all their needs with Your abundant provision.

Father, let Your peace that transcends all understanding guard their hearts and minds, as promised in Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Finally, we ask for Your unexpected blessings and resources to be released over their lives, trusting in Matthew 6:31-33: “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and Your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

We place all our trust in You, knowing that You are faithful, our refuge in times of need, and our ever-present help. We pray these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

I humbly come before You, asking for Your divine protection and provision over every man, woman, and child reading or hearing this prayer. Lord, I ask that You go ahead of them, making their paths straight, clearing every obstacle, and preparing their way as You promise in Your Word: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:8).

I pray that Your heavenly angels would encamp around them, guarding their homes, their vehicles, and every area of their lives. Just as You have promised in Psalm 91:11, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

Lord, I ask for the restoration of everything that has been lost or stolen, believing in the power of Your restoration as You’ve said in Joel 2:25: “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…” I pray that anything not sent by You be removed from their lives and sent back to its origin. Let Your truth reign, and may all negative thoughts and self-sabotage be silenced and uprooted. Your Word declares, “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

I plead the blood of Jesus over their bloodline, asking that every generational curse and stronghold be broken. Lord, destroy any distractions that keep them from fully surrendering their burdens to You. As Your Word reminds us, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).

Father, I pray that every plot and scheme of the enemy be demolished. As it is written, “No weapon formed against you will prosper” (Isaiah 54:17). Cover them with Your peace and protection as they navigate through life’s battles, knowing You are their fortress and shield.

Lord, for those affected by the hurricane, I ask that You comfort them, bringing healing and strength. Touch the hearts and minds of the children who witnessed the storm, and help them see resilience and hope through their parents’ eyes. For the grieving families who have lost loved ones, may You be their comfort, as You’ve promised in Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” For those still searching for their loved ones, I pray that they find peace and receive news soon, knowing that You are the God who sees and knows all.

I seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus, and I thank You, Father, that every word will not return void but will accomplish what it is sent to do (Isaiah 55:11).

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

My God!
Here are some notes from the sermon today The Well🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Apostle, freed us on this rainy Sunday 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

✔️Moving into destiny won’t be easy, but consider this: you can’t act like those before you and still move with me.

✔️ You love your parents, but they didn’t always make the best decisions. Now, you are in a position to move differently.

✔️ Challenging him to examine everything he knew growing up.

✔️ To see my miracles, divorce yourself from what you’re used to seeing.

✔️ Moving into destiny requires you to shift where you put your energy.

✔️ Jesus was Jewish, but Christianity came about after He died and rose again because being a Christian is being like Christ.

✔️ Death – lifeless, destitute of power, or inactive.

✔️ The comfort that powerless things give us must be replaced with challenges to move into destiny.

✔️ There is no power in what you’re trying to go back to, so come over here. We’ve allowed powerless spaces and people to delay our moves.

✔️ Too caught up in what’s ending.

✔️ Does it hurt to walk away, or does it hurt to realize that you don’t even need it?

✔️ You don’t want to admit that you don’t need to be in that space, so you stay.

✔️ Incomplete grief: a traumatic experience occurring in the midst of your grieving.

✔️ God didn’t call you onto this boat to lose your mind.

✔️ Grief – not just for the dead, but for situations too.

✔️ When He asks, “Why are you afraid?” it’s not a rebuke. He may be inviting you to see why you allowed fear to become king.

✔️ He will rebuke the situation, but not you for being afraid.

✔️ Pay attention to the text: He was NOT mad because they woke Him up!

✔️ He is all-powerful and knows everything. Why would He be upset about something He was already expecting you to do when He invited you onto the boat?- 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

✔️ A lot of what you think is God is actually fear, anxiety, shame, and the voices of other people.

✔️ God sent His Son to die for you. Why would He be mad at you for asking for help?

✔️ He didn’t know that thing obeyed God.

✔️ It’s hard to have faith in something you have no concept of.-🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

✔️ He was allowing them to grow in their faith.-🙌🏼🙌🏼

✔️ It was always about seeing what else your God could do, not about the storm that was ahead.

✔️ You’ll miss the miracle if you get caught up in the storm instead of focusing on who will get you out of it.🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

✔️ Thinking something bad is about to happen in the presence of God is a trick of the enemy.🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

✔️ Not even death can separate you from God.

✔️ Some of the closest encounters will happen in the midst of your grieving.

✔️ Think about new beginnings during grief and after things have ended.

✔️ Though this grief is happening, I am closer to God than I am to the struggle.🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

✔️ You struggle with faith because you’ve never seen it done before.

✔️ God knows you can’t even begin to imagine all the things He can do for you.

✔️ They had enough faith to know that He could help them through whatever was coming their way.

✔️ You may not have seen Him do this before, but can you make an educated guess that He can?

✔️ What more of God's power am I about to experience when I am in fear?

✔️ Reframe your thinking so that doom has no more power over you.

✔️ You know God isn’t going to leave you here.
