There comes a time in most stylists career they become stagnant. The creative flow slowly dries up. I personally hit that milestone in 2015.

I needed a change. Never thought that switching color lines would do the trick. Like that simple of a decision could make such an impact...

Fact: I still get butterflies before I teach a class. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Once I get my hands in the hair I feel at ease. I get into my element and start doing my thing.

If what you’re doing doesn’t challenge you then you’re not pushing yourself to the next level. Getting out of your comfort zone is the only way to grow and to see what you’re really capable of.

I promise if you get out of your own way and stop listening to that voice inside your head you will be able to do more than you ever thought was possible.

Todays class in Hermosa Beach, CA was the perfect way to wrap up our 3 week vacation in California.

Fun fact about me is that I wish I was a mermaid.🧜🏼‍♀️ 😂 The beach is where I am at peace... The sound of the waves crashing on the sand is literally music to my ears.

I enjoyed every minute of collaborating with stylists today. Some I’ve known for years and others I met for the first time today.

Almost 3 years ago I met with this guy right next to me. We connected a few times but the time that sticks out the most is when we met at Milk and Honey in Costa Mesa, California. We were both living in OC at the time.

Everything Jack shared with me about his company and vision just spoke to my heart. He created a color line to truly change the lives of hairstylist all across the country. Not only for their business behind the chair but in their financial being.

98% of me wanted to link arms with this CEO and run with him. Buttt the 2% was filled with fear. Fear of change. Fear of failure. Fear of the unknown.

Almost a year I told myself and Jack “No. I just cant do this.” I let that 2% hold me back from the unknown.

Fast forward to this year when we were at our Educators Summit in Denver I was announced as a National Educator. I have the privilege to represent his company and mission. I get the honor of working with hardworking stylists all across the country like these two beautiful women. The feeling of fulfillment was just overwhelming. 🥰

Change can be filled with fear. Trust me I totally get it. But the unknown may just be more than you ever could have imagined.

This month I will be off to Nebraska and Kansas to teach Balayage Classes and to share a mission I 💯 stand behind.

I met this girl when she was a 16 years old working at Pac Sun who was a single mom.

She works 3 jobs to provide the best life to her daughters. About 4 times a year she treats herself by getting her hair done. As I was styling her hair I asked her when was the last time you curled her hair.

“I dont know. The last time you did....🤔 My senior prom.”

Thats was 8 years ago.

My sweet client reminded me why I started in this profession. Its not just about what we do but who we do it for. 💜

We attempted the Orange Street Fair today... and well Brixton wasn’t having it. We were there literally 30 minutes and then had to dip out.

Ooo the joys of ... Totally felt defeated but there always tomorrow!

Im thinking mom and dad need a baby free vacation sometime soon. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
