How to best care for your hair extensions!
✨Use professional products recommended to you by your stylist. We don’t make these recs flippantly, if you want to get the most longevity out of your extension investment- use the good stuff!
✨Never go to bed with wet hair. Wet extensions are prone to knotting and can even become matted at the base. In some cases, matting can be irreversible, and the extensions will need to be replaced.
✨Brush a minimum of twice daily. This one goes back to extensions being prone to tangles. Keeping your hair tangle-free will prolong the life of your extensions.
✨Don’t skimp on heat protectant/oil those ends- extensions can be dry, and hot tools can worsen it. Protect and re-hydrate your lengths regularly with a heat shield and oil.
✨Schedule proper maintenance appointments. Excess shed from hair extensions happens when the weight isn’t distributed evenly on the natural hair. As your hair grows and sheds naturally, the weight distribution starts to become compromised. Always go with your stylists’ recommend maintenance timeframe to prevent damage to your natural hair.
