and one of my good friend’s that i have known & loved since i was 16 , Betty Lussier

The SDS sheet is the ultimate reality check that “hypoallergenic nail products” do not exist. DO NOT EXIST!!!! Every SDS for every nail product on planet Earth gel, acrylic, dip, polish, primers, bonders, topcoats etc. lists the hazardous ingredients because they have to. The reason they have to is simple, the chemistry that makes nail coatings work is the same chemistry that makes them allergens with repeated skin contact. It doesn’t matter if a brand says “non-toxic,” “clean,” “gentle,” “child-safe,” “15-free,” or “dermatologist tested.” The SDS exposes the truth. You will always see monomers, oligomers, acrylates, methacrylates, photoinitiators, stabilizers, all classified as skin sensitizers or capable of becoming sensitizers with overexposure. Doug teaches this constantly: the function of these ingredients is reactive chemistry. Reactive chemistry can never be hypoallergenic. If a product truly were hypoallergenic, the SDS would show zero skin sensitizers, zero hazard classifications, zero warnings. But no nail coating can polymerize, adhere, or cure without reactive ingredients, which means every SDS will contain Hazard Statements like “may cause an allergic skin reaction,” “causes irritation,” or “avoid skin contact.” And that’s exactly why the SDS is your clearest evidence that “hypoallergenic nail products” is nothing more than a marketing fantasy. Chemistry doesn’t bend for branding.

Lets get one thing straight, real knowledge doesn’t magically appear in your brain overnight. You don’t just wake up fluent in nail chemistry, biology, product interaction, or safety. If only, right?
No…..you have to go find it……and you have to be picky about where you get it from.

Honestly? Because I didn’t sit around waiting for TikTok to teach me. I went and learned from the people who actually know what they’re talking about.

Quality knowledge comes from masters, not influencers.
From scientists, not someone who went viral for a 10-second clip.
From evidence-based books, not glossy magazines designed to sell ads and trends.

If you want to be more than just “good enough,” here’s where to look and where I find my knowledge.
•Chemists and scientists who understand what’s happening at a molecular level. People like .jim who regularly posts science based information on his page and YouTube.
•Exceptional suppliers and seasoned professionals who can explain the why, not just the how. Pages like who regularly posts science in depth prep knowledge.
•Research-backed and science-based resources, not whatever hack is trending this week. Pages like .education who regularly post bite size educational articles.
•Science based nail techs and brand owners like .science who respect the chemistry and are relatable.
• Books from scientists like Doug schoon who help break down the science and chemistry to become just ‘common sense’

Becoming truly educated takes effort, curiosity, and a lot of seeing through the bu****it! It means digging deeper than the surface-level stuff everyone else reposts.
